It only works in Sunken Temple. To obtain it, complete the repeatable Atal’ai Potent Potables quest and choose it as your reward.
What Atal’ai Mojo of Forbidden Magic does
Using the potion increases your spell power by 40, and successful spell hits have a chance to unleash a Shadow Bolt on the target. Its effect is restricted to Sunken Temple; it has no effect elsewhere. The Warcraft Wiki item entry lists a three-second cooldown. Wowhead’s item database entry lists a 25% proc chance and a 40-second cooldown for the proc; treat those details as database-specific and potentially subject to game changes.
The item is bind-on-pickup, requires level 50, and is Unique (2), so you can carry up to two. Only one type of Atal’ai potion can be active at a time.
How to get the potion
- Go to Zalgo the Explorer and accept Atal’ai Potent Potables. The quest is listed at level 60, requires level 50, and is repeatable.
- Collect a Flask of Atal’ai Mojo. Troll mobs in the Temple of Atal’Hakkar drop it; see the flask entry for item details.
- Return to Zalgo and turn in the quest. Choose Atal’ai Mojo of Forbidden Magic from the three reward options. The quest also grants 50 reputation with the Emerald Wardens.
Which Atal’ai Mojo reward should you choose?
The quest offers three consumables, each aimed at a different role. Since only one Atal’ai potion can be active at a time, choose for the character and Sunken Temple role you intend to play; the available descriptions do not establish one universally best option.
