Using it turns your character into a dire troll for five minutes; it has a 15-minute cooldown. It drops from Atal’alarion in the Temple of Atal’Hakkar, also known as Sunken Temple.
What does Atal’alarion’s Enchanted Boulder do?
The item transforms its user into a dire troll for five minutes. Warcraft Wiki lists a 15-minute cooldown and a level 50 requirement. Its tooltip reads: “Use: Focus your spirit into Atal’alarion’s favorite boulder. Enchanted with the last echoes of his soul.” Warcraft Wiki’s item reference classifies it as a cosmetic item; it is for appearance rather than a combat upgrade.
Where does it drop?
The Boulder is loot from Atal’alarion, the dire troll boss in the Season of Discovery Temple of Atal’Hakkar raid, commonly called Sunken Temple. The Wowhead Sunken Temple loot guide lists it under Atal’alarion, as does Warcraft Wiki’s Atal’alarion boss reference. The available references do not establish a drop rate.
Requirements and storage
The item reference identifies it as soulbound, exclusive to WoW Classic: Season of Discovery, and usable at level 50. It was added in patch 1.15.2 on April 2, 2024. A later patch note on the same reference records that patch 1.15.3, released July 9, 2024, allowed cosmetic trinkets to be placed in the Keyring for storage.
