The Atari Gamestation Go was previewed around CES 2025, but CES was not its retail debut. My Arcade announced preorders on September 8, 2025, with availability at select retailers planned for October. The handheld brings more than 200 preloaded games together with controls designed for arcade classics, including a paddle, trak-ball and numeric keypad.
When did the Atari Gamestation Go come out?
CES 2025 was the product’s preview period. My Arcade’s September 8, 2025 announcement opened preorders and said select-retailer availability would start in October 2025. The company named GameStop, EB Games and Atari.com for preorders, and described the schedule this way: “The Atari Gamestation Go is available for pre-order now at GameStop, EB Games, and Atari.com, with availability at select retailers starting October 2025.” That was a dated launch plan, not confirmation of current stock. My Arcade later described the system as a CES Best in Show 2025 feature in a March 2025 post; its official sources do not provide a detailed CES reveal transcript. My Arcade’s launch announcement gives the dated schedule.
What games are on the Atari Gamestation Go?
Atari’s product page lists more than 200 built-in console and arcade games. The collection includes Atari titles across generations, five games in the Atari Recharged series, Balls of Steel, and licensed games from PAC-MAN, Jaleco and PIKO International. It is a curated, preloaded library; Atari and My Arcade’s published materials do not establish that players can add arbitrary games.
Atari publishes the full game list and product details. The game count and licensing descriptions are the manufacturers’ claims, not an independent catalog audit.

The included accessories listed by the manufacturer are the console, AC adapter, charge cable, user guide and HDMI cable.
What controller works with the Atari Gamestation Go?
Atari says the system supports external controllers through its USB-C ports. My Arcade announced a compatible wireless, rechargeable Atari Gamestation Gamepad in April 2026. It is an optional accessory for playing from a couch or using a TV setup, not a prerequisite for HDMI play.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is the Gamestation Go for?
The Go’s clearest distinction is the combination of a large listed screen and built-in controls such as a paddle, trak-ball and keypad. That makes its feature set especially relevant to players who want a ready-to-play collection of Atari and arcade games without relying only on a standard handheld layout. Its HDMI and external-controller support also provide a route to TV play.

Buyers weighing it against alternatives should compare licensed library, control types, screen size, portability, battery claims, TV output, price and whether the platform permits adding games.
