How to store and retrieve items
- Find a pneumatic dispatch tube.
- Deposit the items you want to keep but do not need during your current excursion.
- When you want them again, interact with another pneumatic dispatch tube and retrieve them.
Xbox Wire describes the tubes as useful for storing items you do not immediately need. Its example is putting away a shotgun until you have enough shells to use it: the shotgun can be picked up later. Xbox Wire’s launch tips explain the mechanic.

Why use a dispatch tube?
Your carried inventory is limited, while the tubes act as a shared stash. Items placed in one tube can be retrieved from another, according to the Epic Games Store guide. This makes tubes useful for equipment you want to keep but do not need to have on hand right now.

Do not assume ordinary crates are safe storage
The official guidance cited here confirms pneumatic dispatch tubes as the shared storage system, but does not verify ordinary crates or other containers as reliable long-term storage. Use a dispatch tube for items you need to keep rather than relying on an unconfirmed container.
What is known about tube capacity?
Gameranx reports that a tube has 100 inventory slots in its inventory guide. That capacity figure is not corroborated by the official Xbox or Epic guides cited here, so treat it as an unverified secondary-source claim rather than a confirmed limit.
