The announcement centered on Pocket7Games, the company’s platform for casual mobile games. These are plans and company-reported figures from 2021—not evidence of a recent financing or of what the company has since completed.
Why did AviaGames raise $40 million?
AviaGames said the funding would support four areas. The company framed the round as a way to broaden its mobile skill-based gaming business, but the announcement described intended uses rather than confirmed outcomes.
- Player acquisition: attract more players to its platform.
- Game development: create new games for Pocket7Games.
- Team growth: expand the company’s staff.
- International expansion: grow its presence beyond its existing markets.
In the funding announcement, founder and CEO Vickie Chen said: “We aim to provide entertainment value for everyone to enjoy a couple minutes a day to compete with other real players with a more accessible, easy in, easy out approach.”
Who invested in AviaGames?
AviaGames named ACME Capital, Washington Harbour Partners and Powerhouse Capital as investors in the round. It said previous investors Makers Fund and Galaxy Digital also participated. The company announced the $40 million financing on August 11, 2021; the announcement does not establish AviaGames’ current financing status or valuation.
