What nudity and mature content does Baby Steps include?
The ESRB rates the PlayStation 5 version of Baby Steps Mature 17+ and lists Nudity among its content descriptors. Its rating summary describes human/donkey hybrids with exposed male genitalia and a cutscene in which a donkey urinates: ESRB rating summary.
The Steam listing describes Baby Steps as a physics-based walking game and discloses mild nudity, strong language, drug references, and mature humor: Steam store listing.
Why does the game say “Censored”?
In a Steam discussion response dated September 23, 2025, developer HARRISZONE said that most players can toggle censorship on or off. In some regions, however, the setting is forced on to comply with standards set by software rating boards. The developer said it cannot disable censorship where it is required.

Can you turn censorship off?
That depends on the region and edition. The developer says most players have the option, while some regions have censorship forced on. The available sources do not provide a complete list of affected territories or a platform-by-platform settings guide, so a “Censored” label alone does not establish whether your copy has a switch you can change. Check the game’s settings and the listing for your region.

Does censorship remove scenes or gameplay?
According to the developer, no: the regional censorship changes do not remove cinematics or gameplay experiences. That statement addresses the regional changes described in the Steam reply; it does not provide a scene-by-scene comparison of every version.
