Yes—the Backbone One – Post Malone Limited Edition Controller is sold out through Backbone. Backbone announced the collaboration on June 17, 2024, released it on June 25, and said the numbered edition sold out quickly. Backbone’s official product page still displays “SOLD OUT.” Any Amazon, marketplace or reseller listing should be treated as unverified until its stock and authenticity are checked.
What is the Post Malone Backbone controller?
It is a limited-edition version of Backbone’s USB-C, second-generation Backbone One phone controller, created in collaboration with musician Post Malone. The hardware is intended for mobile games and for streaming games from consoles or a PC to a compatible phone.
The launch announcement quotes Post Malone describing Backbone as a way to game while traveling: “Backbone found the perfect solution to bring gaming on the road. My schedule makes it difficult to game from home as much as I want. Grateful to collaborate with them on this release :)”
What is different about this edition?
Translucent green design
The controller uses a translucent green finish rather than the regular Backbone One appearance. Post Malone logos glow in the dark, giving the edition its most obvious visual distinction.

Aluminum controls
Backbone specifies aluminum components for the D-pad and ABXY buttons. These are physical design details of the limited edition, not evidence of a different software feature set.
Numbered packaging and autograph artwork
Each unit comes with special packaging described as hand-made from acrylic and sequentially numbered. The custom design also includes a digitally printed Post Malone autograph. That description does not establish that the controller itself was personally hand-signed.
