Barbie Project Friendship launched on October 25, 2024. The adventure game from Mattel and Outright Games follows Barbie “Malibu” Roberts and Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts as they try to save the Malibu Waves Community Center. It is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC, with solo play and two-player local co-op.

What accessibility options are included?
Minigames have different difficulty levels and an auto-win option, according to the launch notice. These features can help younger players or people who find a particular minigame challenging move through it. They are specific gameplay options, not evidence of a formal accessibility certification or a broader set of accessibility settings.
How does the game connect to Barbie shows?
The July 2024 announcement says the game is set in the world of Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures and Barbie A Touch of Magic. It also credits television-series head writer Ann Austen with development support. The launch notice says the original English voice cast returns.

On May 22, 2024, Mattel and Outright Games announced a multi-year partnership and named Barbie Project Friendship among its first three games. That announcement reported 48 million monthly active players for Mattel Digital Games in 2023; the figure describes Mattel’s digital games, not players of Barbie Project Friendship.
