Meta Quest’s verified YouTube channel published “Batman: Arkham Shadow | Official Teaser Trailer” on May 1, 2024. Its description announced the game as “coming late 2024” and “Only on Meta Quest 3.” It also set the stakes with the line: “Gotham City is in danger. And you’re the only one who can save it.” The description does not identify an individual speaker for that line.
Those phrases reflect the teaser’s announcement-date wording. The later official game listing names both Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S as supported headsets.

Batman: Arkham Shadow is an action-adventure game developed by Camouflaj and published by Oculus Studios. Camouflaj’s announcement described it as an Arkham-series entry designed for VR, made in collaboration with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC.

What is the story about?
The game is set between Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Asylum. A Fourth of July crisis grips Gotham as rioting and the Rat King’s cult threaten the city. The official gameplay trailer identifies the Rat King as a dangerous criminal threat and names familiar characters including Harleen Quinzel, Jim Gordon, Harvey Dent and Dr. Crane.
DC’s listing also highlights VR-specific combat and Batman gadgets, placing the player in the role of Batman rather than presenting the story as a conventional screen-based Arkham game.

DC lists October 22, 2024 as the on-sale date. Its official listing names Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S as the only supported platforms. The teaser’s original Quest 3-only wording was later broadened in the game’s official availability information; the sources do not list support for other platforms.

Camouflaj’s launch-era update stated a $49.99 USD price for people who already owned the hardware and said the game was bundled with new Quest 3 or Quest 3S purchases at that time.
