What Update 9.2.0 added
EA released Update 9.2.0 across all platforms on August 18, 2025. Its headline additions were Iwo Jima, the KFS2000 assault rifle, the Lynx sniper rifle, and the A10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot attack jets in All-out Warfare. The update also started the Road to Battlefield Battlepass and announced the Best of Portal event. EA’s official Update 9.2.0 notes include the complete changes and event details.
How Iwo Jima changed for Battlefield 2042
Iwo Jima had previously appeared in Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 1943, and Battlefield V. For Battlefield 2042, EA reimagined the map with an active volcano, boat landings, bunkers, and trenches. EA described its dimensions as 700×200; the notes do not specify units.
