Yes—Battlefield 6 substantially reduced many of its most demanding Challenges and Assignments, then used later updates to correct specific criteria, tracking, and display issues. The Battlefield Team reported more than 90 adjustments in its initial overhaul, but that does not mean every challenge is easy or that all progression problems are gone.
What changed in the challenge overhaul?
The Battlefield Team said it used gameplay data and player feedback to reduce time investment while keeping progression focused on skill and consistent play. The initial changes went live as a server-side update. The team said existing progress would be applied to the revised requirements when players entered a match, and described the broader challenge program as work spanning multiple server-side and client-side updates. EA’s challenge and assignment update reported more than 90 adjustments.
These examples show the scale of selected changes; they are not a complete list of revised requirements.

The team also said most mode-specific assignment tiers were standardized to two wins. That is a broader description of the overhaul, while the Conquest 2 row above is one stated before-and-after example.

Which problems did later updates address?
Later patches addressed particular mismatches and progression faults, rather than announcing another overhaul of comparable scope.
- Update 1.2.2.0, March 13, 2026: corrected discrepancies between in-game and documented criteria for multiple Daily and Weekly challenges, fixed rocket-launcher damage tracking for related challenges, and included other progression corrections. See the official 1.2.2.0 notes.
- Update 1.2.3.0, April 14, 2026: improved accuracy for named Season 2 challenges and corrected tracking behavior across several class, weekly, and mode challenges, including intended bonus progress in supported modes. See the official 1.2.3.0 notes.
- Update 1.4.3.0, September 14, 2026: corrected a case in which challenge progression could display incorrectly on the End of Round screen. This was a display correction; the notes do not establish that this update broadly lowered requirements again. See the official 1.4.3.0 notes.
Are Battlefield 6 challenges fixed now?
Not entirely. The changes establish that many requirements were reduced and that several specific criteria, tracking, and display problems were corrected. They do not show that every challenge has been audited or that every remaining progression issue is resolved. EA’s October 1, 2026 forward-looking update described challenge and progression changes as ongoing work.

EA’s update listing showed version 1.4.3.5, dated September 28, 2026, as the latest listed game update at the October 8, 2026 cutoff. The listing does not establish that this version brought another broad challenge reduction. See Battlefield 6 news and updates for the listing.
