Both Battlefield 6 Standard and Phantom include the base game. Phantom adds a Battlefield Pro token, a bundle of in-game cosmetics and XP boosts. The Tombstone pack was the pre-order bonus: EA says eligible pre-order content became available at launch, so it is a historical entitlement rather than a current offer to pre-order. On the US PlayStation Store page checked October 4, 2026, Standard was listed at $69.99, Phantom at $99.99 and the Phantom Upgrade at $30; prices vary by platform, region and date.
Battlefield 6 Standard vs. Phantom: what each edition includes
Both editions include the base game. Phantom’s additional value is a set of digital items and progression boosts, not a different version of the game. EA’s current product page lists the following Phantom contents:
- Battlefield Pro token: a Battle Pass token that includes 25 tier skips and an instant-unlock bundle. EA Help says the token is redeemed during an active Battlefield season.
- Four Phantom Squad soldier skins: Crossbones, Mirage, Specter and Wraith.
- Two weapon packages: “Shrouded” for the M433 and “Drop Shadow” for the MS2010 ESR.
- Other cosmetics: the “Glimmer” melee knife skin, “Chimera” M1A2 SEPv3 vehicle skin, “Death’s Head” weapon sticker, “Cryptic” weapon charm and “Operative” dog tag.
- Phantom XP Boost Set: two hardware XP boosts and two career XP boosts.
EA describes Phantom as containing a Phantom Pack and Phantom XP Boost Set in addition to the Battlefield Pro token. The named items above are the contents EA lists on its Battlefield 6 purchase page.

The listed Phantom premium over Standard was $30 on that store page. The Upgrade listing may be relevant if you already own Standard, but check the current listing’s ownership requirements and platform before buying. EA says platform licenses are platform-specific, and Phantom content requires redemption of a single-use code. See the US PlayStation listing and EA’s purchase terms for the product available to you.
Was there a Battlefield 6 pre-order bonus?
Yes. EA identifies the Tombstone pack as the pre-order bonus. Standard Edition pre-order buyers received Tombstone; Phantom Edition pre-order buyers received Tombstone as well as Phantom Edition contents. EA Help says pre-order content became available in-game at launch.

The pack includes a soldier skin and Tombstone XP Boost Set. The US PlayStation pre-order listing also names the Gravedigger Soldier Skin, Hatchet Weapon Package, Soldier Patch, Bandolier weapon charm and Fallen Heroes player card. Exact entitlements can depend on the platform and purchase; check the store listing and account tied to the purchase. Since Battlefield 6 launched on October 10, 2025, Tombstone should be treated as a historical pre-order entitlement, not an offer currently available by placing a new pre-order. EA’s reward information is on its missing Battlefield 6 content and rewards page.
Separate EA veteran loyalty reward
EA’s purchase terms list a veteran loyalty reward distinct from Tombstone. It consists of one character skin, one vehicle skin and two XP boosters. Eligibility requires the same EA Account used with one of EA’s listed eligible earlier Battlefield titles. The offer applies to Battlefield 6 purchases through the EA app or participating retailers and is listed to expire October 10, 2027. Check EA’s current purchase terms to confirm eligible games and purchase conditions.

Which Battlefield 6 edition should you choose?
Choose Standard if you want the base game
Standard includes the game without Phantom’s add-on bundle. It is the straightforward choice if the Phantom cosmetics, boosts and season token do not interest you.
Choose Phantom if you want its digital extras
Phantom makes sense only if you value its listed cosmetics, XP boosts and Battlefield Pro token enough to justify the edition’s price difference on your platform. Cosmetics and progression items do not have an established cash value beyond the price of the edition, so the decision depends on how much you want those items.

Consider the Upgrade only after checking ownership
The Phantom Upgrade is listed separately from the full editions. Confirm that it applies to your existing copy and platform before purchasing; do not assume a code or license will transfer between stores or platforms.

EA lists Battlefield 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, including Steam, the EA app and Epic Games Store. EA’s PC purchase terms require a persistent internet connection, an EA Account and installation of the EA app. Online features may require platform and EA accounts and an internet connection. The US PlayStation Store page says PS Plus is required for online play. Requirements can differ by platform and feature, so check the relevant store and EA terms before buying.
