EA’s first Battlefield 6 reveal, published July 24, 2025, introduced the conflict’s central threat, Pax Armata, and set a tone of large-scale warfare, destruction and squad tactics. It also confirmed a single-player campaign would return. The trailer did not lay out the multiplayer’s modes and mechanics in detail; EA did that at a separate presentation on July 31. Battlefield 6 has since launched, on October 10, 2025.
What did the first Battlefield 6 trailer reveal?
In its July 24, 2025 announcement, Electronic Arts introduced Pax Armata, a private military corporation bankrolled by former NATO states, as the force driving the game’s fictional global conflict. EA said the premise would set the scene for both multiplayer and the return of a single-player campaign. EA’s reveal announcement presented the first trailer as a tone-setting look, not a detailed multiplayer briefing.
The footage and announcement highlighted environmental destruction, tanks, fighter jets, large-scale combat and squad tactics. EA also used the reveal to announce a dedicated multiplayer presentation for July 31, 2025.
What did EA add at the July 31 multiplayer reveal?
The follow-up supplied the setting and the concrete multiplayer details missing from the first look. EA placed the story in 2027: after a high-profile assassination, European countries leave NATO, and Pax Armata moves to fill the resulting power vacuum. The following are features as EA described them, not independent assessments of how they perform in play.

What happened after the first reveal?
EA’s October 16, 2025 launch-results release reported more than 7 million copies sold in the first three days, more than 172 million online matches played during the three-day launch weekend and more than 15 million hours watched on streaming services over that weekend. These are EA-reported figures from its results announcement; they are not independently audited numbers in that release, and copies sold should not be read as unique players.
On October 28, 2025, EA announced Battlefield REDSEC, a free-to-play experience launching alongside Season 1. EA described a 100-player battle royale mode and also announced Gauntlet and Portal creation features in its REDSEC announcement. That was a later addition to the franchise’s offering, not part of what the July 24 first-look trailer revealed.
