When was the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal?
EA and Battlefield Studios held the global multiplayer reveal on July 31, 2025. EA’s reveal announcement set the planned release date for October 10, 2025. EA later confirmed on launch day that Battlefield 6 was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in its launch announcement.
EA’s event notice said the July 31 stream would begin at 11:30 AM PDT / 14:30 EDT, followed by gameplay creators. EA also announced events in Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris and London, with a later Hong Kong event on August 2, 2025.
When were the open beta weekends?
EA’s open beta guide gave the windows below in UTC. EA’s reveal summary labeled the public weekends August 9–10 and August 14–17, 2025; the guide’s exact UTC opening and closing times extended into August 11 and August 18.

How early access worked
People registered for Battlefield Labs before July 31, 2025 could use their registered EA Account without a code. Other viewers could watch selected creators during the July 31 reveal streams on Twitch to unlock early access. Those were historical beta terms, not current access instructions.
Beta platforms and PC requirement
The beta was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store or the EA app. EA’s beta guide said Secure Boot was required for the PC beta.

Classes and combat roles
The four reported classes were Assault, Support, Engineer and Recon. The live report associated Assault with adrenaline shots; Engineer with rockets and mines; Support with healing and ammunition; and Recon with drones, C4 and a laser designator.
Maps and modes
The show reportedly showed combat in Cairo and Manhattan, and named Egypt, Tajikistan and Brooklyn among the maps shown or confirmed. Modes included Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination and King of the Hill.
Movement, teamwork and destruction
Reported features included dragging a downed teammate before reviving them, weapon mounting, leaning and peeking, and expanded vehicle slots. TechRadar also described destructible environments and a sledgehammer that could break through obstacles.

Portal returns
EA confirmed that Portal would return as an improved creative toolset for making Community Experiences. The announcement also said new tools and further additions were planned after launch.
Campaign teaser and final tease
The event included a brief campaign teaser. TechRadar identified Dagger 13 as the player squad and Pax Armata as an antagonist. At the end, the show teased a separate experience associated with Battlefield Labs. TechRadar noted that Battle Royale was not confirmed on stage, so the tease should not be described as a confirmed Battle Royale announcement.
