Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.2.0 reset Aim Assist to its Open Beta tuning, added the Eastwood map and introduced Sabotage as a limited-time mode. The update rolled out November 18, 2025. These are historical patch notes, not a description of the game’s current settings or mode availability: EA said in October 2026 that the game had added four seasons of content in its first year and that Aim Assist tuning continued to evolve toward the Open Beta feel.
What changed in Update 1.1.2.0?
EA published the patch notes on November 17, 2025. The update rolled out November 18. EA’s patch-note page gave an availability time of 09:00 UTC, while its California Resistance roadmap listed deployment at 12:00 UTC, so the date is consistent but the official pages differ on the exact time.
The update’s headline changes were the Aim Assist reset, Eastwood, and the limited-time Sabotage mode. It also added weapons and an attachment, a Gauntlet mission type, Portal content, and a broad set of fixes.
Why did EA reset Aim Assist?
Update 1.1.2.0 returned Aim Assist to its Open Beta tuning and reset related options to default. EA said launch tuning had increased slowdown at longer ranges, but player feedback and gameplay data indicated that high-zoom aiming felt less smooth and harder to control. The stated goal was more consistent slowdown across ranges, while retaining settings players could adjust to suit their preferences. This is EA’s explanation of the change, not an independently measured performance result.

The Battlefield team described the default this way: “This will now serve as the default, whilst still providing you with the ability to alter the aim assist to your preference and playstyle via settings.”
The reset describes the state introduced by this 2025 update. EA’s October 2026 outlook says Aim Assist tuning continued to evolve toward the Open Beta feel; it does not provide a current, setting-by-setting comparison. For current behavior, check the game’s current settings and patch notes rather than assuming the 1.1.2.0 defaults remain unchanged.

What is the Eastwood map?
Eastwood is a Southern California-themed map. EA said variants would be available for official modes, with combat zones tailored to different combat sizes. On Conquest, the patch notes call out tanks, helicopters, and a golf cart among the available vehicles.
How does Sabotage mode work?
Sabotage was introduced as a limited-time event mode, so its inclusion in these notes does not mean it is still available. EA’s roadmap described it as an 8v8 mode with two rounds. Teams alternate between attacking and defending three cargo zones, labeled A, B, and C.

- Scoring: Teams earn points for zones destroyed. If both teams clear the sites, the faster team wins.
EA said the mode would run on multiple maps, including Eastwood and Blackwell Fields. The 8v8 format and three-zone setup are mode specifications, not statistics about player results.

What fixes were included?
The patch notes cover adjustments across several systems, including controller stick response and deadzones, weapon dispersion and accuracy, gadget placement and interactions, vehicle issues, matchmaking and round flow, UI and settings, and single-player bugs. These fixes addressed listed issues; the notes do not establish that every issue affected every player or platform.
EA did not quantify an overall improvement in stability or performance, nor publish a measured impact on accuracy, player count, or player satisfaction. The update is best understood through its documented tuning change, content additions, and individual fixes—not as a quantified performance upgrade.
