Yes—but only barely, and not at ordinary native 1080p quality. A third-party test reported that the 4GB Radeon RX 570 and GeForce GTX 1650 Super could reach roughly 60 frames per second in Battlefield 6 using the lowest settings, a 60% resolution scale, disabled anti-aliasing, and no high-resolution texture package.
That is substantially below EA’s official minimum GPU specification. The result shows that owners of these older cards may be able to play, not that EA officially supports them or that they deliver a consistent, attractive 1080p/60 experience.

What was tested?
The performance figures come from testing by RandomGamingInHD, as reported by HotHardware. HotHardware was not presenting an independent laboratory benchmark, and the source article was published on October 17, 2025. Later game patches, graphics drivers, anti-cheat updates, or added content may change the result.
- Radeon RX 570: 4GB of VRAM.
- GeForce GTX 1650 Super: 4GB of VRAM.
- Test CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F.
- Output: 1080p.
- Resolution scale: 60%.
- Preset: Lowest settings.
- Anti-aliasing: Disabled.
- Textures: Optional high-resolution texture package not installed.
The relatively modern i5-12400F is important. It is considerably newer than the processors commonly paired with these GPUs, so the test platform may avoid CPU limitations that affect older AM4 or LGA1151 systems.

This evidence also does not establish performance in every map, multiplayer scenario, campaign sequence, Portal experience, or other game mode. It is a useful demonstration of what the cards can do in a particular test, not a universal benchmark.
GeForce GTX 1650 Super: reported 73.4 FPS
Under the heavily reduced settings above, the GTX 1650 Super reportedly averaged 73.4 FPS. That is an encouraging result for someone who already owns the card, but it should not be interpreted as native 1080p performance.
At a 60% linear resolution scale, a 1920×1080 output is rendered internally at roughly 1152×648 before the game reconstructs or presents the image. The exact result depends on the engine’s scaling implementation, but the practical takeaway is simple: the GPU is processing far fewer pixels than it would at native 1080p.

A 73.4-FPS average can still include dips below 60 FPS during explosions, heavy destruction, vehicles, smoke, or crowded multiplayer scenes.
Radeon RX 570: roughly 60–80 FPS
The RX 570 reportedly produced approximately 60–80 FPS with a broadly comparable configuration. The range is promising for a card released in 2017, especially given its 4GB memory limit.

- Power Connector: 6-Pin(4 threads) Header
- Fan Dimensions (L x W x H): approx. 95mm * 95mm * 12mm
However, this is not directly comparable with the GTX 1650 Super’s 73.4-FPS average. The figures use different reporting formats, and the cited RX 570 coverage does not provide equivalent average-FPS, 1% low, or frame-time data.
The test also experimented with frame generation on the RX 570. The source found the result less consistent-feeling and preferred conventional raster rendering. Frame generation can increase the displayed frame count while adding latency or producing uneven frame pacing, particularly when the underlying frame rate is low. That does not prove it is always a bad choice, but it is not automatically an upgrade for this class of hardware.

Why can these cards run the game below EA’s minimum?
EA’s listed minimum specification includes an RTX 2060, Radeon RX 5600 XT with 6GB of VRAM, or Intel Arc A380 with 6GB. EA describes that baseline as targeting 1080p at 30 FPS on Low with its specified resolution setting. The minimum CPU is an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, with 16GB of memory.
The RX 570 and GTX 1650 Super test does not contradict that specification because the two sources answer different questions:
- Official minimum: the developer’s supported baseline under stated hardware, resolution, and performance assumptions.
- Community playability: whether a particular system can launch the game and produce acceptable results after pushing settings below that baseline.
Several compromises explain the difference. Resolution scaling sharply reduces GPU workload, disabling anti-aliasing lowers rendering cost, low settings reduce effects and geometry quality, and avoiding high-resolution textures limits memory pressure. A stronger CPU can also help maintain throughput in a large multiplayer game.

In other words, a game can be playable on hardware below the official minimum without that hardware becoming officially supported.
What will the game look and feel like?
The 60% scale is the central trade-off. Although the display output is 1080p, the internally rendered image is much softer. Fine details, distant objects, foliage, and signage will not look as sharp as they do at native resolution.
Disabling anti-aliasing can avoid some additional softness, but it may introduce jagged edges and shimmering during movement. Low texture settings reduce detail further, while the 4GB VRAM limit can contribute to texture streaming problems or stutter if memory demand rises.
“Playable” should therefore mean only that the game launches and can produce roughly 60 FPS in the reported scenario. It does not guarantee:
- A locked 60 FPS.
- Stable 1% lows or consistent frame times.
- Low input latency.
- Sharp 1080p image quality.
- Identical results on every map or game mode.
- Equivalent performance after future patches.
PC requirements beyond the graphics card
A capable-enough GPU will not help if the system fails the game’s security requirements. EA says Battlefield 6 requires TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot, HVCI capability, and VBS capability. EA also explains that Secure Boot is required for the Javelin anti-cheat system in its Secure Boot guidance.

To check two important settings in Windows:
- Press Win + R, enter
msinfo32, and press Enter. - Check BIOS Mode. It should show UEFI.
- Check Secure Boot State. It should show On.
- Press Win + R again and enter
tpm.msc. - Confirm that the TPM is present and ready for use.
HVCI and VBS can depend on firmware virtualization, Windows configuration, and installed drivers. Enabling firmware security features can also affect boot behavior or trigger a BitLocker recovery request, so users should prepare recovery information before changing BIOS settings. Systems installed in Legacy or CSM mode may require additional preparation before Secure Boot can be enabled.
EA’s published storage figures differ between pages: its purchase page lists an 80GiB SSD requirement for the recommended specification, while another FAQ lists 90GB of available space. Treat the number as page- and version-dependent and check EA’s current requirements before installing.
Settings to try on a 4GB card
- Install current AMD or NVIDIA graphics drivers and reboot.
- Use the lowest preset.
- Set the display output to 1920×1080 if that is your monitor’s native resolution.
- Start with a 60% resolution scale rather than assuming native 1080p will be practical.
- Disable anti-aliasing if following the cited test configuration.
- Do not install the optional high-resolution texture package.
- Compare fixed resolution scaling with FSR rather than assuming one is always faster. The cited tester avoided FSR on the GTX 1650 Super because of perceived overhead on that configuration.
- Disable frame generation if it increases latency or makes frame pacing feel inconsistent.
- Use a frame-time overlay, not only the average FPS counter.
Do not judge the game solely by the first few seconds after launch. Shader compilation and first-run asset streaming can cause temporary hitching. For meaningful comparisons, record the game build, Windows build, driver version, settings, map, and test scenario.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should existing owners upgrade?
Probably not before trying the game. If your system has 16GB of RAM, a reasonably capable CPU, current drivers, and the required Windows security features, the reported test suggests that an RX 570 4GB or GTX 1650 Super 4GB is worth evaluating first.
Expect a low-fidelity experience rather than a modern 1080p gaming presentation. Monitor stutter and frame-time consistency, particularly in large matches. A weaker CPU than the i5-12400F used in the cited test may become the limiting factor even when the GPU appears capable.

If your goal is stable 1080p/60 with better image quality, EA’s official minimum class—roughly the RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT 6GB—is a more defensible starting point, though no specification guarantees a fixed frame rate in every scene.
Should you buy an RX 570 or GTX 1650 Super?
These results are more useful to existing owners than to shoppers. Both GPUs are older, discontinued-generation products, and used examples may have unknown mining history, worn fans, degraded thermal pads, or modified firmware. RX 570 models also differ between 4GB and 8GB versions, while GTX 1650 Super cards vary in cooling, power connectors, and factory clocks.
Neither card offers the modern upscaling and frame-generation capabilities of newer GPUs. A used purchase can make sense only at a very low price and after checking the exact model, temperatures, fan noise, power requirements, and return policy. Current used-market prices are too variable to treat as a universal buying guide.

Verdict
The RX 570 and GTX 1650 Super can reportedly run Battlefield 6 at around 60 FPS, but only in a narrow and heavily compromised sense. The GTX 1650 Super reached a reported 73.4-FPS average, while the RX 570 was reported at roughly 60–80 FPS, using the lowest settings, 60% resolution scaling, disabled anti-aliasing, and no high-resolution textures.
That is an impressive optimization result, not proof of native 1080p performance or a locked 60-FPS experience. EA’s official minimum remains substantially higher, and security requirements such as Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 can prevent launch regardless of GPU speed. Existing owners should test before upgrading; shoppers should not mistake this demonstration for a recommendation to buy these aging cards.
