Battlefield 6 Season 2 launched on February 17, 2026. The update download and Season 2 challenges became available at 09:00 UTC; all Season 2 content went live at 12:00 UTC. The countdown is over, so these times are a historical launch reference, not an upcoming release schedule.
When did Battlefield 6 Season 2 start?
EA’s Game Update 1.2.1.0 announcement distinguishes the update and challenge time from the full-content launch:
| Date | Time (UTC) | What became available |
|---|---|---|
| February 17, 2026 | 09:00 | Game Update 1.2.1.0 download and Season 2 challenges |
| February 17, 2026 | 12:00 | All Season 2 content |
The full-season time was also reported as 4:00 a.m. PT (12:00 p.m. UTC) by PlayStation.Blog. EA’s announcement gives UTC rather than a complete table of local times, so use the UTC milestones above as the reference rather than assuming a fixed local offset.
What was included in Season 2?
EA released the season in three phases: Extreme Measures, Nightfall, and Hunter/Prey. Its Season 2 page describes two new maps, three vehicles, six weapons, nighttime missions with night-vision goggles, and Operation Augur. Season content also included modes involving VL-7 smoke, the AH-6 Little Bird, and additional progression.
