How to trigger the Spin Hurdle
The reported activation conditions are specific: Barkley must be the ball carrier for the team you control, and a defender must approach at close range from about a 45-degree angle. Press the game’s hurdle input at the right moment as the defender closes in.

What the animation recreates
On November 3, 2024, Barkley caught a pass against Jacksonville, spun away from defenders, and jumped backward over a defender before landing with the ball. Madden’s Spin Hurdle adapts that play as a distinct Barkley animation. It was added less than three weeks later.
