EA’s Season 5 roadmap, “The Siege of Vegas Begins,” published October 9, 2026, introduces Area 51 alongside Vegas Strip at the start of Season 5. The roadmap also says another new map is planned later in the season. That makes Area 51 an announced piece of Battlefield 6’s seasonal content, rather than an unconfirmed leak or community rumor.

EA’s October 9 developer map guide to Vegas Strip and Area 51 covers the same setting. Taken together, the official descriptions establish a map built around the contrast between open desert operations and close-quarters fighting beneath the surface. They do not disclose the facility’s full layout, a named objective inside it, or a particular secret encounter.

Is there a confirmed Easter egg?
