Wicked Grin was reported removed from an early Battlefield 6 Season 1 build, and GameSpot later reported that it returned in more conventional military colors. But there was no skin-specific EA explanation in the reporting, and January 2026 posts about a revised version returning as a free gift are community reports—not official confirmation. Its availability as of October 2026 is not established by the sources reviewed.
What was the Wicked Grin skin?
Wicked Grin was a bright-blue camouflage variant of Battlefield 6’s default NATO assault outfit, seen in an early Season 1 build. PC Gamer reported that its in-game description suggested it would be offered as a free store gift. PC Gamer’s October 22, 2025 coverage described the outfit and the reaction to its color.
Some players objected that the vivid blue design did not fit the grounded military look they expected from Battlefield 6. That criticism came from a vocal segment of the community; the available reporting does not establish how representative it was of the player base.
Why did they remove Wicked Grin?
No skin-specific developer statement in the reviewed sources explains the removal or confirms that player criticism caused it. GamesRadar reported on October 30, 2025 that the outfit had been quietly removed and noted that no developer explanation had been given at the time. GamesRadar’s report covers the removal and the criticism.

Is Wicked Grin coming back, or is it available now?
January 2026 Reddit posts described a revised Wicked Grin skin returning as a free gift. That is community reporting, not confirmation from EA. The reviewed official material does not verify the return or establish whether the item is currently available. A January 2026 community post is one example of the claim.

EA’s July 10, 2026 Battlefield 6 and REDSEC Battle Pass Content Update says select past Battle Pass items may return to the store as items or bundles. EA states, “Eligible items will return no sooner than three months after their original Battle Pass has ended,” while also saying selection and timing may change and are not guaranteed. The announcement does not mention Wicked Grin, so it does not confirm that this skin qualifies or will return.
