Battlefield 6 reached an all-time peak of 747,440 concurrent players on Steam on October 10, 2025, according to SteamDB’s historical chart. The often-rounded figure of 747,000 accompanied a report that the game ranked third on Steam’s most-played chart that launch day—not a claim about its current rank or its total audience across platforms.
What the 747,440 figure counts
SteamDB records 747,440 as Battlefield 6’s all-time Steam concurrent-player peak, reached October 10, 2025. Concurrent players are people playing at the same time; this is not a count of copies sold, unique players, or everyone who played during the day.
The number covers Steam only. EA also released the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and PC players could use the EA App or Epic Games Store as well as Steam. The cited sources do not establish a combined concurrent-player peak across those platforms, so the Steam count should not be presented as the game’s full cross-platform audience. EA’s launch recap lists the platforms and PC storefronts.
What “top three on Steam” meant
On October 10, 2025, Tom’s Hardware reported that the newly launched game had reached third place on Steam’s most-played chart. That is a contemporaneous, launch-day ranking, not its position now. Steam rankings and live player counts change over time; the historical peak and the reported chart placement answer different questions.

The report’s “747,000” phrasing is a rounded version of SteamDB’s more precise 747,440 count. The two figures refer to the same Steam launch-day peak, not separate milestones. Tom’s Hardware’s October 10 report provides the same-day ranking context.

How to compare the peak fairly
- Compare Steam concurrency with another Steam concurrency figure, rather than with sales or total player counts.
- Keep the date attached: 747,440 is the recorded Steam peak on October 10, 2025, not a current live count.
- Do not infer a console, non-Steam, or combined-platform peak from the Steam chart; the cited sources do not provide matching platform-by-platform concurrent peaks.
