Battlefield REDSEC launched on October 28, 2025, at 15:00 UTC (8:00 a.m. Pacific). The countdown to launch has expired. The official gameplay trailer premiered at launch, so this is now a guide to the launch time and where the trailer fits in REDSEC’s release—not a live countdown.
When did Battlefield REDSEC launch?
EA’s REDSEC download page lists the release as October 28, 2025, at 15:00 UTC. That was 8:00 a.m. Pacific on the same date, according to PC Guide’s launch-day coverage.
Use the UTC time as the fixed reference point: 15:00 UTC on October 28, 2025. The Pacific conversion is specific to that date and location; it is not a year-round Pacific time conversion.
Is there still a REDSEC countdown clock?
No. The countdown clock referred to the scheduled October 28, 2025 launch, and its target time has passed. Any page or image showing that countdown is historical rather than a timer for an upcoming release.

What is Battlefield REDSEC?
REDSEC is EA’s free-to-play Battlefield experience. EA says it can be played without owning Battlefield 6 and presents three modes: Battle Royale, Gauntlet, and Portal. See EA’s REDSEC community announcement for its launch description and REDSEC home page for current official information.
Battle Royale
EA describes Battle Royale as a 100-player mode built around squads, looting, enemy encounters, tactical destruction, and vehicles. Fort Lyndon is the map identified in EA’s announcement, which also describes destructible environments, combat vehicles, weapons, armor plates, and ammunition. Mode details can change with updates; EA’s REDSEC FAQ is the source for the 100-player description.
