Its Malaga venue is listed at 5/516 Alexander Drive, but the official page’s availability field says “Available 10/12/2026” without clarifying the date format. Since that is later than the page’s timestamp of 8 October 2026 under either likely interpretation, confirm the opening date and current operating status with the venue before making a trip.
What is BattleKart?
BattleKart combines driving single-seat electric karts around an indoor arena with game elements projected onto the floor. Overhead projectors show changing circuits and game modes; sensors and onboard electronics let karts interact with those elements. The venue says players do not need a VR headset.
The “real-life Mario Kart” comparison is a shorthand for the mix of kart driving and game-like effects. BattleKart is its own venue experience; the sources do not establish a Nintendo affiliation or licensed Mario characters. PerthNow reported in July 2025 that the Perth venue was planned as the franchise’s first Western Australian location. That article’s forecast of an opening before the end of 2025 was a plan, not confirmation that it opened then.
How the games work
Players drive through the arena rather than playing from a seat in front of a screen. The venue says bonuses can produce effects such as a rocket that a player launches with a button on the kart; a hit can slow an opponent. Its current page lists these modes:
#1 Best Overall
- With up to a 100' range this RC can go the distance
- Race in standard mode or flip into anti gravity mode
- Perform drifts and tricks at the press of a button
- You can even pop wheelies and do 360 spins
- For ages 8 and up
- BattleRace
- BattleSnake
- BattleColor
- BattleFoot
- BattleVirus
- BattlePool
These are projected-game modes, not conventional lap-racing formats. The venue says its arena has no fixed physical track or standard lap racing.
Who can ride, and what to expect in a session
The official page states a minimum height of 4 ft 9 in (about 145 cm), but does not state a minimum age. Karts are single-seaters, so each rider needs to meet the height requirement and drive their own kart.
Rank #2
- Drive Mario into unlimited fun and excitement with the Hot Wheels Mario Wheelie Motocross RC.
- Push the button on the remote and Mario pops up on the wheelie bar, showing off his stunting skills.
- It features authentic details – when directed to turn, the Mario figure leans in and tilts his head just like in real life!

- Fans of remote-control vehicles can drive the fun with Mario!
The venue lists 10- or 15-minute sessions for 2–12 players. Those times include boarding and landing. Its FAQ says a typical 15-minute game includes 2 minutes 30 seconds for boarding, pit exit and return, and disembarking, so the listed session is not all driving time.
Safety information
BattleKart describes an anti-collision system that can take control and brake when needed. The venue also tells riders to use caution and fasten their seatbelts, and says helmets are not required. These are the venue’s descriptions and instructions, not an independent safety assessment.
Rank #3

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How it differs from conventional karting
BattleKart is aimed at people who want a group game layered over kart driving; conventional karting typically centres on racing around a circuit and comparing laps. Here the arena’s projected effects and changing modes are the central distinction. The practical fit depends on the rider’s height, the group size and session format, and whether the group prefers interactive casual play or circuit-based competition.

Treat the comparison as context for the venue’s concept, not evidence that it offers the same format as a motorsport circuit.
