Behaviour Interactive marked Dead by Daylight’s ninth anniversary in 2025 with a major broadcast led by the announcement of Springtrap as the Killer in an upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter. The campaign also brought a limited-time Twisted Masquerade event, new crossover announcements and a publishing partnership. The anniversary event ran June 26 to July 17, 2025, and has ended.
Springtrap headlined the May 2025 anniversary broadcast
Behaviour Interactive presented its “Year 9 Anniversary Broadcast” at PAX East and published an official recap on May 9, 2025. Its biggest reveal was Springtrap as the Killer in the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter. The recap also previewed a Legendary Outfit based on Matthew Lillard’s portrayal in the 2023 Five Nights at Freddy’s film. These were announcements made during the broadcast; the recap itself does not establish subsequent release details.
The broadcast also looked back at the game’s prior year, citing arrivals from Dungeons & Dragons, Tomb Raider, Castlevania, Doomed Course, Tokyo Ghoul and Steady Pulse. What else Behaviour announced
Alongside the Springtrap reveal, the recap outlined several planned collections and content additions:

- The Boulet Brothers: a collection with outfits for The Huntress and The Artist.
- Tomb Raider: two additional Lara Croft outfits, including one inspired by her original look.
- IT HAS MY FACE: Behaviour announced a publishing partnership with NightByte Games for the first-person roguelite, and linked to a Steam demo and wishlist. The anniversary recap does not verify the game’s current release status.
The broadcast also teased that clues to the next major licensed Chapter had been hidden in the presentation. The recap records the tease, but does not identify that Chapter in the announcement.
Twisted Masquerade ran from June 26 to July 17, 2025
The anniversary’s in-game event was the fourth and final Twisted Masquerade. Behaviour’s event guide set its window at June 26, 2025, 11 a.m. ET, through July 17, 2025, 11 a.m. ET. Its activities included Masquerade Pillars and Invitations that granted temporary abilities, as well as a randomized set of five Tryx Cards that changed match conditions as players earned points.
Event quests awarded Gilded Trinkets, which players could exchange for in-game cosmetics. The guide listed six Survivor masks, one Killer mask, five Killer weapons, three Badges, three Banners, a Charm, and full outfits for David King and The Wraith. These were in-game items, not physical merchandise.
Event rewards were limited to the 2025 window
Behaviour’s guide listed 850,000 Bloodpoints and 70 Rift Fragments in total as daily login rewards for the event. It also said players could claim 100 Gilded Trinkets on any day before the event ended. Those figures describe the historical 2025 event rewards; they are not currently claimable anniversary bonuses.
