How do you make the Bell Bearing Hunter appear?
The key condition is time: the encounters take place at night. At the Warmaster’s Shack, the Hunter is specifically noted as appearing at night by the location guide above. If you visit during the day and do not find him, return at night. The available location information does not establish other universal spawn requirements, so do not assume that changing the resident merchant’s status is necessary.

What do the Bell Bearings unlock?
After defeating the Hunter, take the corresponding Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. The Bone Peddler’s Bell Bearing adds bone materials; the Meat Peddler’s adds meat materials; the Medicine Peddler’s adds medicine boluses; and the Gravity Stone Peddler’s adds gravity stones. These are separate stock categories tied to the bearing from each site.

Bandai Namco’s Version 1.05 notice, dated June 13, 2022, says the liberated status of specified Bell Bearing items carries into New Game Plus. The named items include the Bone Peddler’s, Meat Peddler’s, Medicine Peddler’s, and Gravity Stone Peddler’s Bell Bearings. That statement concerns the listed items and should not be read as a guarantee about every item in the game.
