Recommended ASG-89 build for Multiplayer
Insider Gaming recommends this five-attachment setup for close-range Multiplayer play, particularly on small maps:

- Long Barrel: Extends the shotgun’s damage range.
- Fast Mag I: Speeds up reloads, with reduced ammunition capacity as the trade-off.
- CQB Grip: Improves dive, slide, and sprint-to-fire handling.
- Balanced Stock: Supports mobility.
- Rapid Fire: Increases firing rate.

Warzone build: use a different attachment list
CODMunity’s Season 6 Warzone close-range recommendation is not the Multiplayer setup:

CODMunity’s page lists its latest ASG-89 balance adjustment as Season 6, dated September 10, 2025. Its Warzone ranking and pick-rate passages do not establish a current Multiplayer ranking, and its pick-rate figures are inconsistent. Do not treat them as a reliable popularity statistic. How to choose and check your build
Activision explains that Gunsmith attachments let players specialize weapons for an intended playstyle. Barrels can affect range or velocity, magazines can change capacity or reload speed, rear grips affect handling, stocks affect movement, and Fire Mods alter ammunition or firing systems. These categories describe general attachment roles; check the current in-game descriptions for the specific effect of each ASG-89 attachment.

- In the Multiplayer loadout menu, open the ASG-89 in Gunsmith and select the recommended attachments.
- Review Gunsmith’s detailed stats and attachment descriptions, paying particular attention to the Fast Mag I capacity trade-off and the handling you want for close-range fights.
- Test the build in the Firing Range. Activision recommends using it to try weapon builds; check whether the reload, movement, and firing feel suit your playstyle.
- Recheck the weapon and attachment effects after major updates. Weapon balance can change, and no cited evidence establishes that this list remains the best-performing Multiplayer build after every patch.

Optional loadout suggestions from the Multiplayer guide
Insider Gaming also pairs its build with Gung-Ho, Assassin, Double Time, and Dexterity through Perk Greed; Semtex, Stim Shot, and Spring Mine; and the Grekhova as a secondary. Those are that guide’s loadout suggestions, not requirements for the ASG-89 build. Its page also says the weapon unlocks at Level 31; check the current in-game unlock conditions rather than assuming that remains current.
