Fields of Mistria: farming, relationships, and fantasy adventure
Fields of Mistria is the strongest choice here if you want the familiar farm-and-community rhythm with a more explicit fantasy-adventure layer. Steam describes it as a nostalgic farming and life-sim RPG. The listed activities include tending a farm, fishing, mining, crafting, customizing, caring for animals, building relationships, and taking part in seasonal quests and festivals. The village also has stories to follow, while ancient ruins add combat.
Steam lists Windows and SteamOS/Linux support, and gives August 5, 2026 as the release date. Its checked listing is single-player, so it is not the pick on this list for farming together with friends.

Coral Island: island restoration and co-op farming
Coral Island suits players who want their farming routine set against a larger island to explore and restore. Its Steam listing highlights crops, animals, relationships, exploration, and the Merfolk Kingdom, alongside the laid-back island-life premise.
The listing supports online cooperative farming for up to three friends joining you—four farmers total. Steam gives November 14, 2023 as the release date. If co-op is the deciding factor, confirm the platform and online requirements before buying; the Steam page establishes the Steam listing, not the game’s complete platform matrix.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: character quests and neighborhood life
Disney Dreamlight Valley is the clearest fit if the draw is spending time with familiar Disney and Pixar characters and having a steady stream of character-led objectives. Steam describes it as a hybrid life-sim and adventure game, with quests and exploration alongside activities centered on the characters and neighborhood.
The Steam listing marks the game as including in-app purchases, so check the current purchase terms and edition details if you prefer to avoid additional spending. Its listing includes single-player and multiplayer features, but that alone does not establish how multiplayer currently works across platforms; verify the in-game functionality and platform requirements that matter to you.

All three links above go to Steam listings. Of these checked pages, Fields of Mistria explicitly names Windows and SteamOS/Linux. The other two Steam pages do not, by themselves, establish each game’s full platform availability. Before recommending or purchasing a title for a specific console or storefront, check the official listing for that platform.
