For a damage-focused dual-wield setup, Irfan Ansari’s Pro Game Guides build, published March 26, 2025, recommends building Spirit with swift attacks, then spending it on Ruthless. It pairs that core with Flash Cutter as a timed counter and Whirlwind plus Phantom: Sword Dance for a burst attack. Treat this as one gear-dependent build recommendation—not a proven universal ranking.
How the recommended dual-wield build works
The build is organized around a combat loop: use quick attacks to build Spirit, then convert that resource into damage with Ruthless. It adds defensive timing and burst options so the loadout is not only about spending Spirit.

Build Spirit, then spend it on Ruthless
Swift attacks are the recommended way to generate Spirit. Ruthless is the build’s main Spirit-powered damage skill. Ansari’s guide also recommends the Fallen Guardian’s Dual Wield and armor, citing set synergies that boost Ruthless. That equipment connection is part of why the recommendation should not be read as proof that Ruthless is best with every setup.
Use Flash Cutter to answer an incoming attack
Flash Cutter is the defensive counter option. The guide recommends timing it against an enemy attack; it can interrupt or break the attack animation. Its Counter and Decollation upgrades are included in the build.

Pair Whirlwind with Phantom: Sword Dance for burst
The guide combines Whirlwind with Phantom: Sword Dance, bringing Khazan and the Blade Phantom into the attack together. It lists Whirlwind: Swiftness and Whirlwind: Chain as part of the same package.

How to adapt the package to your playstyle
The official PlayStation game listing says skills are unlocked with Skill Points and that players can “Reset and respec Khazan’s skills at any time and from anywhere.” It also notes that full gear sets can unlock unique attributes and skills, while mixing pieces allows a personalized loadout. That makes experimentation and boss-specific adjustments practical rather than permanent commitments.
- If you want a simpler rotation, prioritize the Spirit-building swift attacks and Ruthless before filling out every tree in the guide’s package.
- If you rely on counters, keep Flash Cutter and its listed upgrades in your plan, and practice its timing against incoming attacks.
- If you want the guide’s burst combination, retain Whirlwind and Phantom: Sword Dance, along with the Whirlwind upgrades it names.
- When changing armor or weapons, reassess Ruthless: the cited build ties its damage plan to Fallen Guardian gear synergies.
What this recommendation does—and does not—establish
The available guide provides a coherent build, its combat rationale, and a gear interaction. It does not establish a patch-specific meta ranking, a universal best skill for every boss, or comparative damage, win-rate, or timing results. The official PlayStation listing supports respec and gear customization, but does not compare these skills against one another. Choose the package as a starting point and adjust it to your gear and preferred balance of damage, mobility, and defense.
