Best FiveM Server Hosting in 2026: How to Choose a Host

There is no proven universal best FiveM host. Godlike.Host leads our shortlist of six, but it is not on Cfx.re's list of authorized FiveM hosts; compare a provider’s real recurring cost, resources, location, controls, and terms against your server’s needs.

There is no proven universal winner for FiveM server hosting in 2026. Our shortlist starts with Godlike.Host, a game-server host with a FiveM product. It is not on Cfx.re’s list of authorized FiveM hosts (fivem.net, 10 Oct 2026). Beyond it, start with the providers currently listed by Cfx.re, then choose based on where your players are, the resources your server runs, your budget, and how much administration you want to handle. Cfx.re authorization is a useful legitimacy signal—not a performance guarantee.

What makes a FiveM host the right choice?

The best FiveM server host is the one that fits your server and its players, with terms and controls you understand before paying. A low introductory price, a large advertised slot count, or a high third-party ranking does not establish that a plan will deliver good performance for your particular workload.

FiveM server owners can choose a game hosting provider, use txAdmin, or set up a server on Windows or Linux. Cfx.re lists all of these as setup paths and requires a free license key registered through the Cfx Portal before setup. Its hosting page directs creators to authorized partners and advertises that partner setup can be completed in under five minutes. That is Cfx.re’s setup claim, not an independently timed result. See the Cfx.re hosting page and official server setup documentation.

For a managed plan, the provider takes on some of the server administration; how much depends on the specific plan and tools. Self-hosting offers a different balance of control and responsibility. Cfx.re recommends an x86-64 system running Linux or Windows, decent upstream connectivity, and preferably a multicore processor for running a server. That is general guidance, not a complete hardware-sizing formula for every server. A heavily customized server and a small community server should not be assumed to need identical resources.

Which FiveM hosting providers are on the 2026 shortlist?

Godlike.Host is listed first in the table below. An iTechGuides comparison updated 11 October 2026 reported six providers on Cfx.re’s hosting list, including Nodecraft, Shockbyte, Nitrado, GPORTAL, and ZAP-Hosting. Treat that as a dated report, not a guarantee that the live Cfx.re page still lists each provider. Check Cfx.re’s current hosting page before using authorization as part of your decision.

Provider What the sources establish What you should verify before buying
Godlike.Host A game-server host with a FiveM server product and a free FiveM server card (1 GB, 10 slots) for trying the panel; the free server must be extended every 3 hours, has limited panel features and one location. It is not on Cfx.re’s list of authorized FiveM hosts (fivem.net, 10 Oct 2026). Cfx.re authorization status, the data-center location you need, plan resources (see the current plans), included controls, and terms.
Nodecraft Included in the report’s list of six Cfx.re-listed providers. Current Cfx.re listing, available regions, plan resources, recurring price, included controls, and terms.
Shockbyte Included in the report’s list of six Cfx.re-listed providers. Current Cfx.re listing, available regions, plan resources, recurring price, included controls, and terms.
Nitrado Included in the report’s list of six Cfx.re-listed providers. Current Cfx.re listing, available regions, plan resources, recurring price, included controls, and terms.
GPORTAL Included in the report’s list of six Cfx.re-listed providers. Current Cfx.re listing, available regions, plan resources, recurring price, included controls, and terms.
ZAP-Hosting Included in the report’s list of six Cfx.re-listed providers. Current Cfx.re listing, available regions, plan resources, recurring price, included controls, and terms.

The October report also displayed entry-price figures for some providers, but those are publisher snapshots rather than current checkout quotes. Prices, renewal rates, billing cycles, and plan inventory can change; the figures cannot be treated as verified current costs without checking the provider’s live offer and terms. For the same reason, do not infer that a provider has the right plan for you just because it appears on a list.

The six-provider comparison published by iTechGuides in August 2026 discusses plan models and advertised features such as txAdmin, backups, file access, DDoS protection, locations, and static IPs. It explicitly says it is not a controlled comparison of speed, tick rate, CPU contention, latency, backup restoration, outage frequency, or support response times. The October comparison and six-provider comparison can help you assemble questions, but they do not establish which host performs best for your server.

How to compare plans without mistaking marketing for performance

Compare the service you will actually receive, not just the headline figure. The following checks cover the important differences to resolve before selecting a plan.

Rank #2
GMKtec K12 Gaming Mini PC Oculink AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 (Upgraded 8745HS) 32GB DDR5 RAM 512GB SSD, Desktop Computer Radeon 780M Graphics, 3X M.2 2280 Storage Expansion, Dual NIC 2.5G, HDMI 2.1, USB4
  • RYZEN 7 H 255 CPU - The Ryzen 7 H 255 is a chip from the Hawk Point family and is an upgraded version of the older Ryzen 7 8745H and has 8 cores (16 threads thanks to SMT support) that run at up to 4.9 GHz, together with the powerful Radeon 780M iGPU. Unlike Zen 3, Zen 4 offers AVX512 support along with other improvements such as larger caches/registers/buffers across the board.
  • GAMING PC - The Radeon 780M (12 CUs / 768 shaders, up to 2,600 MHz) can drive multiple displays simultaneously with a resolution of up to 8K. Hardware encoding and hardware decoding of the most common video codecs (AV1, AVC, HEVC) is also no problem; playing the latest games on FSR settings without issues.
  • WHY CHOOSE DDR5 5600MHz DUAL CHANNEL (2×16GB): With a 5600MHz clock—a 17% frequency uplift over 4800MHz—this kit delivers massive bandwidth gains that elevate real-world performance. Gamers enjoy higher minimum FPS and less stutter in open-world and sim titles for a smoother competitive experience. Video editors and 3D creators benefit from faster 4K/8K timeline scrubbing, quicker renders in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere, and swifter asset loading. For AI/LLM workloads, the superior throughput reduces I/O bottlenecks, cuts token generation latency, and accelerates model fine-tuning by keeping processing cores fed with data—so you wait less and create more.
  • 32GB DDR5 RAM + 512GB SSD - The K12 mini computer is equipped with Dual 16GB (Total 32GB) SO-DIMM DDR5 5600MHz memory sticks. 512GB PCIE 4.0 SSD Drive with 3x M.2 2280 Expansion slots. Each slot capable of reading up to 8TB. (24TB MAX)
  • QUAD SCREEN 4K DISPLAY SUPPORT - K12 Mini PC support 4-screen 4K/8K output via HDMI 2.1 (8K@60Hz), DisplayPort 1.4 (4K@60Hz), and USB Type-C Transfer speed (supporting PD3.0/DP1.4/DATA). Ideal for gaming, video editing, and multitasking, it provides expansive and crisp multi-display support.

Authorization and legitimacy

Check whether the provider is on Cfx.re’s official hosting page at the time you sign up. A listing is a useful indication that the provider is an authorized hosting partner; it does not certify uptime, low latency, support quality, or a particular level of server performance. Authorization can change, so a dated third-party list is not a substitute for the current official page.

Total recurring cost

Look beyond an introductory banner. Compare the amount charged after any promotion, how often it is billed, whether taxes are added at checkout, and whether the configuration you want includes paid add-ons. Check migration charges, cancellation rules, and refund conditions in the applicable terms. A monthly equivalent can be misleading if the checkout requires a longer billing commitment, so compare the amount due and the renewal amount as well as the advertised rate.

Write down the full expected cost for the same time period across your shortlisted plans. If two offers bundle different resources or extras, list those differences rather than treating the lower number as an apples-to-apples win. Verify current prices and terms at checkout; third-party prices are snapshots, not binding quotes.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Capacity model and resource disclosure

Some plans emphasize player slots; others emphasize RAM or other resources. Neither label alone proves how well a server will run. Ask what CPU allocation and resource limits apply, whether resources are shared, and what happens when you exceed a stated limit. A marketed “unlimited” capacity label is not evidence that a server can sustain unlimited players or workload.

There is no single RAM figure established here as appropriate for every FiveM server. The official Cfx.re recommendation gives general system guidance, not a workload-specific RAM calculator. If a host does not publish enough detail to evaluate the resources behind a capacity claim, treat that as an unanswered question rather than assuming the plan is sufficient.

Bluetooth 5.2 allowing you more quickly to connect other wireless devices (headset, mouse, keyboard, etc.) Interface features 2*USB3.2 ports, 2*USB2.0 ports, 1*HDMI 2.0 port(4K@60Hz), 1*USB-C port(PD/DP/DATA), 1*DP Port, 1*Audio 3.5mm (HP&MIC), 1*DC Power Port.

Player geography and location

Choose a data-center region with your actual player base in mind. A nearby region is a sensible starting point for investigating connection quality, but no regional label proves a particular ping. The available comparison material does not provide controlled latency measurements. If a provider offers more than one region, confirm the exact location available for your plan before checkout and test from the places where your community plays.

Administration, files, and backups

Determine whether the plan gives you access to txAdmin, the server console, and the files or resources you need to manage. Check whether backups are included, how often they are created, how long they are retained, and whether restoring one is included or costs extra. “Backups included” does not tell you how quickly a restore works or whether it will recover the files you care about; the comparison sources do not provide independent restoration tests.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Also check how the provider handles resource installation and server configuration. If you expect to use recipes, custom resources, or a particular workflow, verify that the plan and its file access support it. Do not assume that every managed host exposes the same level of control.

Protection, support, and service terms

Ask what DDoS protection is included and whether the provider describes its limits. Review uptime commitments, support hours, and the method for contacting support. Marketing claims do not amount to independently measured reliability or response times. Confirm what the written service terms promise rather than relying on a feature label.

Compatibility and scaling

Confirm that the host supports the current FiveM server version and the configuration you plan to use. Check how upgrades work if your community grows: whether you can change a plan, move regions, add resources, or migrate files without rebuilding. Separately verify the player-capacity rules that apply to your Cfx.re setup; a host’s advertised slot count does not override platform requirements.

How many players can a FiveM server support?

Cfx.re says default OneSync Infinity supports up to 48 players. Its hosting page describes Element Club subscription tiers with higher capacities, including up to 2,048 with Platinum and OneSync Infinity. These are platform capacity details, not a guarantee that any particular host or hardware plan will perform well at those counts. Subscription benefits and limits may change, so check the current terms on the Cfx.re hosting page before planning around a higher limit.

Keep three separate questions in view: the player capacity allowed by your Cfx.re setup, the capacity the hosting plan advertises, and the performance your workload can sustain. A slot limit answers only the first or second question, depending on its source. It does not show the effect of your resources, server configuration, or the host’s underlying CPU and resource allocation.

How to choose and verify a host before committing

  1. Set your requirements. Note the likely player range, the regions where players are based, the custom resources you intend to run, your approximate budget, and how much server administration you want to do. Treat these as planning assumptions that you can revisit as the server grows.
  2. Check Cfx.re’s current setup choices. Review the official hosting page for current authorized partners and platform information. Use the setup documentation to compare a managed provider with txAdmin or a Windows or Linux self-managed route.
  3. Build a comparable shortlist. For each provider you are considering, record the plan’s billing period, renewal price, player-slot or RAM model, CPU and resource disclosure, region, management tools, backup terms, protection, and cancellation or refund conditions. Mark anything the provider does not state as unknown, rather than filling the gap with a guess.
  4. Confirm details at checkout and in the terms. Make sure the selected location and plan are available, the renewal amount matches your budget, and any desired tools or protections are included rather than paid add-ons. Read the cancellation and refund terms that apply to that specific purchase.
  5. Prepare the server correctly. If setting up through Cfx.re’s documented paths, register the required free license key in the Cfx Portal before setup. Follow the instructions for your chosen provider or operating-system route, and keep a copy of the configuration and resources you need to restore.
  6. Evaluate your own workload. Once the server is configured, assess it with the resources and player activity representative of your community. Observe whether it meets your needs and investigate performance issues with the host using specific details from your setup. Third-party feature lists cannot tell you how your own configuration will behave.
  7. Reassess as the community changes. If player counts, resources, or geography change, revisit the plan’s limits and available regions. Confirm upgrade and migration steps before a change is urgent, rather than assuming that moving to a larger plan preserves every setting or backup.

Managed hosting or self-hosting?

A managed game host is a reasonable place to start if you want a provider to supply the server environment and prefer not to maintain the underlying machine yourself. The specific amount of management varies by plan, so verify its tools, console access, file access, backups, and support rather than assuming that “managed” means all administration is handled for you.

Self-hosting may suit someone who wants direct control over the machine and is prepared to manage its operating system, connectivity, setup, and ongoing administration. Cfx.re’s general recommendation is an x86-64 Linux or Windows system, decent upstream connectivity, and preferably a multicore processor. It does not state a complete sizing recipe for every use case, so hardware choices should reflect the server’s actual workload rather than a universal RAM claim.

Cfx.re documents game hosting providers, txAdmin, and Windows and Linux setup routes. The right choice depends on whether you value convenience or direct control more, and whether you have the time and skills to maintain the server. For either route, you still need to follow Cfx.re’s setup requirements, including registration of a free license key through the Cfx Portal.

What the available comparisons can—and cannot—tell you

The two iTechGuides comparisons provide a dated snapshot of provider names, prices or plan labels, and advertised features. They are useful for identifying what to compare across plans. They do not establish an independent best host through controlled tests. In particular, the August comparison says it did not test tick rate, CPU contention, latency, backup restoration, outage frequency, or support ticket response time.

That distinction matters because those outcomes depend on more than the name of a provider or the RAM and slot labels on a plan. A feature list can tell you that something is advertised; only clear service terms and evidence relevant to your own setup can answer whether it meets your needs. Treat rankings as editorial recommendations, not measured performance scores.

Provider authorization, prices, renewal rates, plan inventory, locations, capacity labels, features, Cfx.re subscription benefits, and referral terms may change. Use current provider plan pages and terms for purchasing decisions, and use Cfx.re’s live page to verify authorization. Do not assume that a Cfx.re listing implies a particular referral or affiliate relationship.

Our top pick for a FiveM server is Godlike.Host. It lists 10 data-center locations on its ping page, includes free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day with restore, and runs a Pterodactyl-based game panel with a task scheduler and sub-users. You can try the panel with its free FiveM server (1 GB, 10 slots), which must be extended every 3 hours, has limited panel features and one location. It is not on Cfx.re’s list of authorized FiveM hosts (fivem.net, 10 Oct 2026), so check Cfx.re’s live page and weigh that against the other providers above; see the current plans before buying.
