If you mean new cars or tracks installed through third-party files, that is different from what the game’s official feature descriptions cover. They highlight in-game car customization and EventLab, alongside ways to share and download community-created liveries and tunes. Customize cars: appearance or performance
FH5’s car tools serve two different goals: changing how a car looks and adjusting how it drives. The official game page lists body kits, wheels, paint choices, and tuning setups.

Use visual customization when you want a car to look different without treating the change as a performance setup. You can also share custom liveries, so other players can use community-made designs.

Performance: tuning setups
Tuning changes the car’s setup rather than its visual design. The game page describes downloadable car setups and sharing custom tunes through the Creative Hub. Since a tune is a setup for a car, choose one based on the car and the driving you want to do rather than assuming one community tune suits every use.
Build tracks and events with EventLab
EventLab is the in-game route for making more than a conventional race. Forza describes support for custom races, challenges, stunts, game modes, and maps. It also says EventLab has gained “hundreds of new props” since launch and identifies EventLab Island as a place to build; “hundreds” is the publisher’s description, not an independently verified inventory count. Choose a creation type
- Race: Build a custom race for players to drive.
- Challenge: Design an objective-driven event rather than simply following a standard race format.
- Stunt: Make a course or event centered on stunts.
- Game mode: Create an event using a custom mode.
- Map: Shape a custom space, including with EventLab’s props, for an event or other play experience.
The best choice depends on whether you want to build a place, define an activity, or combine both. EventLab 2.0 was announced as a free custom-map-editor upgrade in Xbox Wire’s September 12, 2023 announcement, which listed Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, Steam, and Cloud Gaming. Play and share community creations
The Creative Hub is the official game-page destination for sharing custom liveries and tunes and downloading car setups. That makes community content a practical alternative when you want a different look or tune without building one yourself. The cited official description establishes these sharing options for liveries and tunes; it does not provide a complete set of steps for finding, filtering, or downloading every type of EventLab creation.

Use caution with tampering that affects competition
Playground Games’ community update warns against “Cheating, game tampering, and the use of exploits to intentionally gain a competitive advantage,” in a discussion of game-speed modifiers used to boost PR Stunt scores and the studio’s response to impossible scores. The example concerns competitive score manipulation; it is not a blanket statement about every offline modification. The official sources covered here do not set out a comprehensive third-party mod policy, so do not treat the warning as proof that all external modifications are technically impossible or universally prohibited.
