Granblue Fantasy: Relink is the clearest choice if you want to play an action RPG with friends: GamesRadar+ describes it as a four-player co-op action RPG. If you mean “like Kingdom Hearts” in its party combat, colorful fantasy, Disney worlds, or character connections, the alternatives below may fit—but a party of computer-controlled companions does not mean another person can join.
What kind of Kingdom Hearts match are you looking for?
Kingdom Hearts blends real-time action combat, a team of characters, colorful fantasy, and worlds tied to Disney properties. Those qualities point to different recommendations. For co-op, start by checking whether another human can actually play; then weigh how closely the game matches the particular Kingdom Hearts element you care about.
- Shared action-RPG play: Granblue Fantasy: Relink is the strongest sourced lead.
- Action combat and a hero party: Trials of Mana and Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom are comparisons, but the cited coverage does not establish co-op.
- Disney or crossover appeal: Epic Mickey and The World Ends With You touch different parts of Kingdom Hearts’ appeal, rather than recreating the whole experience.
Best confirmed co-op match: Granblue Fantasy: Relink
GamesRadar+’s April 27, 2026 multiplayer RPG roundup describes Granblue Fantasy: Relink as a four-player co-op action RPG. That makes it the most direct pick here if your first requirement is sharing an action-RPG adventure with friends. GamesRadar+ includes it among multiplayer RPGs to play with friends.
Its co-op credentials do not, by themselves, establish that it matches Kingdom Hearts in tone, story, or licensed worlds. The cited coverage also does not settle which platforms and editions support the mode, whether the campaign itself can be played together, or whether cross-play is available. Check the listing for the specific version you plan to play before buying with a particular group in mind.

Action-RPG comparisons that are not confirmed co-op picks
These games can suit someone looking for Kingdom Hearts-like combat or party dynamics, but the sources cited for them describe gameplay—not verified multiplayer support. Treat them as style comparisons, not promises that a friend can join.
Trials of Mana
GamingScan describes the remake as an action RPG with a team of heroes, dynamic combat, and 3D environments. Those features make it a useful comparison if you want an active combat system and a party of characters. The cited guide does not establish human co-op for the remake, so it does not qualify as a confirmed co-op recommendation here. GamingScan’s Kingdom Hearts alternatives guide discusses the game.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
Ni no Kuni II offers real-time combat, party customization, and companions who can cast spells or buff allies, according to GamingScan. ONE Esports also points to its colorful characters, story, and more action-heavy combat as reasons it may appeal to Kingdom Hearts fans. That makes it a promising choice for a bright, character-led fantasy RPG—not confirmed co-op. GamingScan and ONE Esports’ recommendations make the comparison.
Final Fantasy XV
ONE Esports compares Final Fantasy XV’s combat and exploration with Kingdom Hearts, while GamingScan notes its Active Cross Battle system. Consider it if you want another action-oriented Square Enix RPG; the cited comparisons do not establish co-op support. GamingScan and ONE Esports discuss its similarities.

Epic Mickey
Epic Mickey is a Disney-centered platform adventure, so it speaks most directly to the licensed-world side of Kingdom Hearts. It is a weaker fit if what you want is action-RPG combat. The cited recommendation does not establish co-op. ONE Esports includes it among games Kingdom Hearts fans might enjoy.
The World Ends With You
This Square Enix action RPG has a direct character connection to Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Its unusual controls and story make it a distinct option for players interested in that link, not an interchangeable Kingdom Hearts-style co-op game. The cited recommendation does not establish multiplayer support. ONE Esports discusses the connection.

Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts overview is useful for the series itself, but it is not evidence that another game supports co-op. Its collection page lists six Kingdom Hearts stories in the 1.5+2.5 ReMIX package and advertises a Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S launch for October 8, 2026. As of October 7, 2026, that date is upcoming; the collection is a series reference, not a co-op alternative.
