The best route depends on which ore you need, which regions you can reach and how much climbing or detouring you’re willing to do.
How to find the best mining route for your target ore
Choose the mineral first. A route assembled for Crystal Chunks is not automatically the best choice for White Iron Chunks, Amethyst Lump or another regional mineral. The community-maintained Teyvat Interactive Map has separate markers for minerals including Crystal Chunk, White Iron Chunk, Magical Crystal Chunk, Starsilver, Amethyst Lump, Condessence Crystal and Rainbowdrop Crystal.

- Open the map and select the marker for the ore you want.
- Inspect nearby markers and the terrain, including underground or layered areas, before deciding on a route.
- Favor clusters that are close to waypoints, accessible in your world and connected by a loop that avoids excessive backtracking.
- Check the nodes in game as you go; the map is community-maintained and should not be treated as a guarantee that every marker or layer is complete.
These are practical route-selection criteria, not a published yield ranking. No comparable current node counts or timed runs are established for the locations below, so the list is a shortlist for map verification rather than a promise of a particular haul.

Ten Crystal Chunk areas to check
The first six areas below are named as Crystal Chunk locations in a farming guide. Cuijue Slope and the area east of Qingyun Peak are additional candidates mentioned in an older community list. These sources do not establish that all ten are the best current locations; use the live map to confirm the nodes and build a route that fits your world.

Stormterror’s Lair
A named Crystal Chunk area in the farming guide and one of the candidate areas also mentioned by an older community list. Check the map for a cluster that suits your starting waypoint and route direction.

Guyun Stone Forest
Also called Guyun in the farming guide. Inspect the island terrain and waypoint access on the map before deciding whether the area makes sense as a standalone visit or as part of a broader loop.

Qingce
Qingce is among the named areas in the farming guide. Use the Crystal Chunk filter to identify current markers rather than assuming every ore type follows the same route.

Stormbearer Point
This is another named Crystal Chunk area. Check its current markers and travel approach against the other nearby stops you can access.

Mt. Aozang Cave
The farming guide specifically names the cave area. Before routing, inspect map layers and confirm the entrance and ore markers in game.

Lingju Pass Entrance
This named location can be checked as a Crystal Chunk stop. Whether it belongs in your loop depends on its current map markers and the detour from your other chosen areas.

Cuijue Slope
An older community list suggests this as a candidate ore area. Treat it as a place to verify on the current map, not as a guaranteed high-yield stop.

East of Qingyun Peak
The older community list also points to the area east of Qingyun Peak. Check the precise markers and terrain on the live map before adding it to your itinerary.

A nearby cluster from the current map
Use the target-ore filter to choose a distinct, accessible cluster not already covered by your route. The available location lists do not substantiate a specific ninth area with comparable yield data.

A second map-verified cluster
Fill the final stop with another distinct cluster visible for your chosen ore, prioritizing waypoint access and a clean loop. The sources do not establish a specific tenth location or a ranking by yield.
Use blacksmith ore-location guidance in game
HoYoverse’s Version 1.1 update notes describe a useful in-game option: regional blacksmiths can indicate ore deposit locations, which then appear as map markers. The notes say Crystal Chunks can be obtained from those deposits. This is official feature guidance from a 2020 update, not confirmation that every current ore type or area is covered by the same instructions. See HoYoverse’s Version 1.1 update notes.
Why there is no universal top-ten ranking
Two older guides name candidate areas, but they do not provide a current, comparable set of yields and travel times across ten locations. The expanded game world and differences in access and terrain also make a single route a poor fit for every player. Choose based on your target ore, unlocked regions, node clustering, waypoint distance and tolerance for vertical travel—not an unsupported claim of guaranteed efficiency.
For White Iron Chunks or another mineral, repeat the same process with that material’s map layer. A Crystal Chunk route should not be assumed to serve another ore equally well.
