For a performance-first setup in Call of Duty: Mobile, choose Graphics Quality: Low, select Max Frame Rate or the highest tier your device can hold steadily, and test with Depth of Field and Real-Time Shadows disabled. Then tune sensitivity and rebuild the HUD around your reach rather than copying a “pro” layout.

These settings improve your chances of consistent frame delivery, but they cannot fix every kind of lag. A phone that is overheating, a device that barely meets the minimum requirements, or a weak network connection may still stutter after graphics changes.

Start with this performance baseline

Use the following as a starting configuration, not a guaranteed universal preset. Google Play’s Call of Duty: Mobile editorial guide recommends Low graphics and Max frame rate for performance-focused play. It does not establish that every phone can sustain Max continuously.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Setting Starting choice When to change it
Graphics Quality Low Raise it only after confirming that frame delivery remains steady in repeated matches.
Frame Rate Max, or the highest available tier Drop one tier if you see recurring stutter, heat-related slowdown, or unstable pacing.
Depth of Field Off Leave it off if you value a clearer competitive view.
Real-Time Shadows Off Leave it off when stability and visibility matter more than scene detail.
Field of View Try approximately 75 in supported first-person views Reduce it if the wider view feels distorted or makes targets harder for you to read.
Aim Assist On if you are new or want assistance Turn it off only if you deliberately prefer fully manual aim.

Apply one change at a time, then repeat the same practice drill or a similar match. This makes it easier to tell whether a setting changed smoothness, visibility, or only the appearance of the game.

Yojaro 4Pack Silicone Suction Phone Case Mount, Silicon Adhesive Smartphones Stand Sticky, Hands-Free Phone Accessories Holder for Selfies and Videos (Black & White & Translucent & Light Pink)
  • 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
  • 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
  • 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
  • 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
  • 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)

Why stable frames matter more than maximum detail

Graphics quality controls visual detail; frame rate controls how often the game updates the image and responds to input. In a fast multiplayer fight, consistent delivery is usually more useful than a sharper texture or extra shadow detail. A lower but steady frame-rate tier can feel better than a higher tier that repeatedly drops.

Do not treat a frame-rate label as a measured result. “Max” is a menu option, not proof that your particular phone will render every scene at that rate. Large fights, Battle Royale scenes, heat, background activity, and the device’s own limits can change what it sustains.

How to configure graphics settings

1. Open the graphics menu

From the game’s main screen, open the settings gear and select the graphics section. Menu names can move between versions, so use the labels shown in your current installation.

2. Set Graphics Quality to Low

Low is the clearest performance-first choice in Google Play’s guide. It reduces visual complexity so the device has more rendering headroom. Start here even if your phone can display higher detail; you can test upward later without losing your baseline.

3. Select Max Frame Rate, then verify it in play

Choose Max if it is offered. Play several minutes in the same mode and watch for repeated hitching, uneven camera movement, or a sudden decline after the phone warms up. If those symptoms persist, select the next lower frame-rate tier and repeat the test. The right setting is the highest tier that remains consistently playable on your device, not necessarily the highest label.

4. Disable Depth of Field

Depth of Field adds a focus effect that can blur parts of the image. Google Play identifies it as a resource-heavy option that may affect frame-rate steadiness and enemy visibility. Turning it off is a sensible first test; no published source quantifies a specific frames-per-second gain.

Apple EarPods Headphones with USB-C Plug, Wired Ear Buds with Built-in Remote to Control Music, Phone Calls, and Volume
  • SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
  • HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
  • BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
  • COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
  • INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.

5. Disable Real-Time Shadows

Real-Time Shadows can add scene detail while increasing rendering work. Turn them off during your first performance test. If you later value visual depth more than competitive clarity, re-enable the option and compare it under the same drill.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

6. Review other options shown by your build

Activision’s October 9, 2019 controls and graphics overview described options including Anti-Aliasing, Bloom, and Ragdolls. Current versions may rename, move, add, or remove controls. Follow the options actually displayed in your game rather than assuming the 2019 menu is unchanged. If an effect is clearly decorative and your build lets you disable it, test it separately instead of changing several effects at once.

7. Test FOV as a visibility preference

Google Play suggests trying an FOV around 75, while Activision’s older documentation describes first-person camera FOV from 51 to 75. Treat 75 as an experiment, not a proven optimum. A wider view can show more of the scene but may make distant targets appear smaller on some screens. Keep the value that lets you identify targets comfortably while maintaining stable performance.

Sensitivity settings: useful starting ranges, not universal answers

Google Play’s guide lists these initial ranges:

Control Suggested starting range How to use it
Standard Sensitivity 90–100 Use for ordinary camera movement and general turning.
ADS Sensitivity 130–150 Use while aiming down sights; adjust for the weapons and zoom levels you actually use.
Gyroscope standard movement 130–160 Use only if you aim by physically moving the device.

These figures are starting ranges from an editorial guide, not “pro settings,” tournament standards, or benchmark results. Screen size, touch response, grip, finger technique, preferred weapons, and personal comfort all affect the useful value.

A controlled sensitivity routine

  1. Choose a practice area or repeatable aiming drill.
  2. Set one slider near the middle of its suggested range.
  3. Track a moving target, perform a short turn, and make several ADS corrections.
  4. Change only one slider by a small amount.
  5. Repeat the same drill before changing another control.

If you consistently overshoot targets, reduce the relevant sensitivity slightly. If turning or tracking feels slow, increase it in small steps. The purpose of this routine is to isolate your own preference; it is not evidence that a particular number improves every player’s accuracy.

Gyroscope: optional motion aiming

The gyroscope uses the phone’s physical movement to control looking or aiming. Activision’s documentation describes enabling it for all aiming and look controls or only while aiming down sights. Google Play notes that it can provide fluid camera control in Battle Royale.

  • Secure Hold: Our PopSockets adhesive phone grip gives your cell phone a secure, comfortable hold in hand to help prevent drops while texting, taking photos, or scrolling on the go. Designed to stick firmly to most phone cases and devices.
  • Hands-Free Made Easy: Easily turn your PopSocket into a phone stand to prop up your phone anywhere, perfect for watching videos, video calls, or following recipes. A must-have phone holder that keeps your device secure and ready for anything.
  • Compatibility: Works with all phones, tablets, and Kindles. Sticks best to smooth, hard plastic cases and may not adhere to silicone or textured cases. Easily swap your PopTop to change up your style.
  • Black PopSockets: Simple, refined, and endlessly versatile. A timeless essential for any phone.
  • Travel Must-Have for People On the Go: A must-have travel accessory for flights, flying, airports, air travel, airplanes, planes, international trips, cruises, and long travel days. Key gadget for your airport haul, travel accessories and must-haves.

Start with ADS-only gyroscope if you want to experiment without changing ordinary camera movement. Use all-controls gyroscope only if tilting the device feels natural during movement, turning, and firefights. Keep the phone stable in your hands and adjust the gyroscope range gradually; a high value can make tiny wrist movements produce large reticle changes.

Gyroscope is not required for smooth performance. It is an input preference, and comfort matters more than adopting it because another player uses it.

Aim Assist and target acquisition

Aim Assist is an available option that Google Play suggests for newer players or anyone who wants help landing shots. Enable it if its behavior feels useful. It does not guarantee accuracy and cannot replace crosshair placement, recoil control, or practice. Players who prefer entirely manual control can test it off in the same drill and decide which behavior they can control more consistently.

Build a HUD that fits your hands

Open the custom layout editor

Use Settings > Controls > Custom Layout. Menu placement may vary by version. In the editor, move on-screen buttons, resize them, and adjust opacity so essential controls are reachable without covering targets or information.

Place controls by reach and function

  • Put movement and the primary fire control where your thumbs or fingers naturally rest.
  • Keep aim, crouch, jump, reload, and weapon-switch controls close enough to reach without releasing movement.
  • Separate buttons that you often press in sequence so accidental taps are less likely.
  • Make high-priority buttons large enough to hit reliably, but not so large that they hide enemies or minimap information.
  • Lower opacity only when you can still identify a button instantly during a fight.

A two-, three-, or four-finger arrangement is not proven to be universally superior by the available official guidance. Choose the fewest fingers that let you move, aim, fire, and perform movement actions without strain, then change the layout as your muscle memory develops.

Choose a firing mode

Activision’s control overview describes Simple and Advanced fire modes, along with fixed-fire and joystick-button options. The names and locations may differ in a current build. Simple mode can reduce the number of manual actions for players learning the game. Advanced mode gives more direct control over when and how weapons fire. Fixed buttons keep a control in one place; movable or joystick-style controls can suit players who prefer a different grip.

Test each mode with the same weapon and drill. A layout that looks efficient in the editor is not useful if it causes missed taps, blocks visibility, or forces an uncomfortable hand position.

Touch controls versus a controller

Activision states that compatible controllers work in Multiplayer and Battle Royale matches. Device-native touch input is still needed for menus, settings, and loadouts. A controller is therefore an optional input choice, not a graphics upgrade.

Use one if physical controls are more comfortable or reliable for you. Do not buy one expecting it to raise frame rate, reduce network latency, or solve a rendering problem. Those are separate issues. Confirm that the controller is supported by your current game and device, and keep touch controls available for interface tasks.

Separate frame-rate problems from network lag

Not every “laggy” match is a graphics problem. Frame-rate trouble usually appears as uneven animation, hitching when the camera moves, or slowdowns that correlate with busy scenes or device heat. Network trouble can appear as delayed hit registration, players jumping between positions, or actions arriving late even when the image itself remains smooth.

Call of Duty: Mobile requires a network connection. Activision Support recommends strong Wi-Fi for connection trouble or in-game lag and suggests restarting the device to refresh the connection. Try those steps when the symptom is delay rather than a consistently low or uneven frame rate.

  • 【Press Down Firmly Every 30 Minutes】Use your palm or fingers to press the phone down firmly and check it's secure before letting go. Apply even pressure for a few seconds to allow the suction cup to adhere properly. To maintain the grip and prevent accidental falls, it's a good practice to periodically reapply pressure to the suction cup.
  1. Restart the device.
  2. Update Call of Duty: Mobile through the device’s app store.
  3. Install available operating-system updates.
  4. On Android, clear the app cache using the phone’s app settings.

These actions can resolve app or connection problems, but they are not promises of higher frame rate. After each step, launch the game and reproduce the original symptom before moving to the next step.

Check compatibility before chasing settings

Activision Support’s page updated February 25, 2026 lists these minimum compatibility requirements:

Platform Minimum operating system Minimum RAM
Android Android 6.0 or later At least 2 GB
iOS iOS 15.0 or later At least 2 GB

Meeting a minimum requirement means the game is within the published compatibility range; it does not mean the phone will run high graphics or sustain Max frame rate. If a device is close to the minimum, Low graphics and a lower stable frame-rate tier may be more realistic than visual upgrades.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Three practical setting profiles

There is no device-tested universal profile in the available sources. Use these decision paths to match the settings to your priority:

Priority Graphics choice Input choice Trade-off
Competitive stability Low, highest frame-rate tier that remains steady, Depth of Field Off, Real-Time Shadows Off Custom HUD, sensitivity tuned in small steps Less visual detail for more consistent delivery.
Balanced play Low first; test one visual effect at a time while keeping a stable frame-rate tier Touch controls, optional ADS gyroscope Some added detail, with more testing required.
Visual detail Raise quality only after confirming stable performance; keep a lower tier if necessary Any comfortable layout or supported controller Sharper effects can reduce headroom and visibility.

A repeatable calibration checklist

  1. Record your current graphics, frame-rate, sensitivity, FOV, and HUD choices so you can undo a change.
  2. Set Low graphics and the highest frame-rate tier available.
  3. Turn off Depth of Field and Real-Time Shadows.
  4. Play the same practice drill or mode for several minutes.
  5. Change only one graphics or control setting.
  6. Repeat the drill and note whether the change affected smoothness, visibility, or comfort.
  7. Keep the change only if it solves a specific problem without creating a new one.

This method avoids chasing a number copied from another device. It also makes it easier to identify whether an issue is caused by rendering, input configuration, or the network.

What the evidence does—and does not—establish

Google Play’s guide, accessed October 13, 2026, provides the Low-plus-Max performance baseline, sensitivity ranges, the approximate FOV suggestion, and the recommendation to consider Aim Assist. Its publication date was not displayed, and its figures are recommendations rather than controlled tests.

Activision’s detailed control article, written by James Mattone and dated October 9, 2019, documents customization, firing modes, gyroscope behavior, camera FOV, and controller support. Because it is an older overview, current menu labels and available ranges may differ.

Activision Support’s February 25, 2026 update supplies the connection, troubleshooting, and minimum compatibility guidance. None of these sources publishes device-specific benchmarks proving that one complete configuration delivers the same frame rate or accuracy for every player.
