Quick answer: which business should a solo player buy?
| Business or role | Best fit | What makes it attractive alone | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acid Lab | First dedicated business | Relatively self-contained production and a straightforward solo loop | Current costs and payouts vary by game version, upgrades and promotions |
| Nightclub | Later-stage passive hub | Combines popularity income with warehouse production while you do other activities | Warehouse categories depend on feeder businesses you already own |
| Bunker | Background production with occasional sales | Can produce while you run missions, heists or free-roam work | Large sales and multi-vehicle missions can be awkward alone |
| Motorcycle Club businesses | Players building a wider production network | Supply several Nightclub warehouse categories and can add another production stream | Direct sales are not equally convenient; stock size and mission type matter |
| Agency, Auto Shop or Special Cargo | Players who prefer active work | Mission and sourcing loops provide direct control over when you earn | They are activity businesses rather than interchangeable passive earners |
The 2026 GTA Tracker solo rankings guide presents the Acid Lab, Nightclub and Bunker as different choices for different stages. Its 2026 business tier list likewise treats Acid Lab, Nightclub, Bunker, Auto Shop and Special Cargo as viable options whose order depends on play style. That is a more useful conclusion than declaring one business the universal winner.
How to judge a solo business before spending money
Solo viability is not the same as maximum theoretical revenue. A business can look excellent on a full-stock spreadsheet and still be frustrating if the sale requires several vehicles, a long route or a public lobby. Use these five tests before buying.
#1 Best Overall
- STUNNING VISUALS — Enhanced levels of fidelity and performance with new graphics modes featuring up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, HDR options, ray tracing, improved texture quality, and more
- FASTER LOADING — Quicker access to the action as the world of Los Santos and Blaine County load in faster than ever before.
- ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS AND HAPTIC FEEDBACK — Feel every moment through the DualSense controller, from directional damage to weather effects, rough road surfaces to explosions, and more.
- TEMPEST 3D AUDIO — Hear the sounds of the world with pinpoint precision: the throttle of a stolen supercar, the rattle of neighbouring gunfire, the roar of a helicopter overhead, and more.
- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the European version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
1. Can you complete the sale reliably alone?
Check the possible sale missions, vehicle count and timer at the stock level you plan to sell. A smaller, more frequent sale may be better than a larger sale that can generate multiple vehicles. The exact mission pool can change, so treat old guides as orientation rather than a guarantee.
2. Is the work active or passive?
Acid production, bunker stock and Nightclub warehouse goods can build while you perform other activities, but they still require supplies, setup and eventual delivery. Agency contracts, Auto Shop work and Special Cargo sourcing ask you to spend more of your session directly on that business. Pick the loop you will actually play, not the one with the most attractive headline number.
3. What upgrades and setup does it need?
Compare the complete entry path: property, equipment, staff or production upgrades, supplies and the missions needed to unlock them. A cheap purchase can become expensive once its required upgrades are included. Conversely, a business that works acceptably before every upgrade may be easier for a new character to start.

The Nightclub warehouse is the clearest example. It is not a like-for-like standalone business because technicians draw from categories supplied by other businesses you own. A Nightclub can still earn popularity income on its own, but its warehouse becomes substantially more useful as your wider portfolio grows.
5. Does it fit your session length?
Short sessions favor businesses that can be checked, supplied and sold in manageable steps. Long sessions make sourcing chains, larger deliveries and multi-stage production easier to absorb. If you usually play for 30 minutes, a business that needs a long uninterrupted sale route may be a poor first purchase even when its mature output is strong.

- Play golf, tennis, see a film or call someone and just hang out.
Acid Lab: the best first candidate for a self-contained solo loop
The Acid Lab is the most defensible default recommendation for a player who wants one business that does not require an existing empire. It offers a relatively compact production-and-sale loop, letting you alternate between supplying or managing the lab, completing other activities and returning for a delivery. The key advantage is independence: you are not buying it merely to unlock a category for another property.
Why it works well alone
- Self-contained progression: it can be treated as its own operation instead of a feeder for a larger network.
- Manageable attention: production can run in the background while you complete missions, heists or free-roam tasks.
- Flexible selling: you can choose a stock level that suits the time and risk you have available rather than waiting for a huge warehouse.
- Good first-business role: it gives a new or returning player a production business without requiring several prerequisite properties.
What to verify before committing
Do not treat a current internet payout or purchase-price figure as permanent. The available 2026 comparisons do not provide a comparable, primary-source net-profit table, and the result changes with upgrades, resupply costs, sale destination, lobby conditions and weekly bonuses. Confirm the current in-game figures and mission behavior before calculating a payback period.
The Acid Lab is therefore a role recommendation, not a promise of a fixed hourly income. Buy it first when you value a contained loop and predictable management more than a fully passive network.
Nightclub: the best later-stage passive hub
The Nightclub has two separate systems that should never be collapsed into one payout claim.
Popularity income
Popularity is the Nightclub’s venue-management stream. It rewards keeping the club active and handling its related tasks. This part can make sense even when you do not yet own a large production portfolio, but it asks you to maintain the club rather than simply leave it untouched.

Warehouse goods
The warehouse assigns technicians to product categories connected to other businesses. Those categories are supplied by businesses elsewhere in your portfolio, so the warehouse’s full value is a network effect. Buying a Nightclub as a first business and expecting a mature warehouse immediately is a common mistake.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The GTA Tracker 2026 solo guide describes the Nightclub as a passive network, which is the right way to frame it: it becomes more compelling after you already have feeder operations and want one place where several production lines accumulate. It is usually a second-phase purchase, not the strongest self-contained opening move.
When a Nightclub is the right choice
- You already own businesses that unlock useful warehouse categories.
- You want to spend most of your session on heists, missions or free-roam activities while goods accumulate.
- You are willing to manage popularity separately from warehouse production.
- You can tolerate waiting for stock to build instead of demanding an immediate active payout.
Bunker: useful background production with sale friction
A Bunker can suit a solo player who wants another production line running while they do other work. Its appeal is strongest when you are comfortable checking supplies periodically and selling before the stock becomes difficult to deliver.
The solo trade-off
The practical question is not just how much a full Bunker can be worth. It is whether the particular sale mission gives you enough time and vehicles to finish alone. The PC Gamer guide explains why multi-vehicle business sales can be problematic for solo players: one person has to drive, defend and meet the timer across every vehicle. A Bunker sale can therefore be sensible at a controlled stock level and inconvenient at a maximum-stock level.
Who should choose it
Choose a Bunker when you like a background-production rhythm, have a plan for selling in smaller batches and do not mind that the best theoretical full-stock result may not be the best practical solo result. It is a complementary business for many players rather than an automatic first purchase.

- The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world ever created and now packed with layers of new detail.
- Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game's three lead characters, playing all sides of the game's interwoven story.

Motorcycle Club businesses: useful network pieces, demanding direct sales
Motorcycle Club businesses are most valuable in two contexts: as additional production operations and as suppliers for Nightclub warehouse categories. They can expand a mature network, but their direct sales should be judged separately from their usefulness to a Nightclub.
Why they can be worthwhile
- They add another production category to a broader portfolio.
- They can improve the range of goods available to Nightclub technicians.
- They let a player who enjoys managing several properties build a longer-term network.
Why they are not an automatic solo recommendation
Direct MC sales can involve different mission types, delivery vehicles and travel demands. A full stock bar is not automatically a convenient solo sale. Before investing, decide whether you will sell smaller batches, use the business mainly as a Nightclub feeder or accept the extra logistics of running it directly.

These businesses are alternatives for players who would rather control their earning activity than wait for production.
Agency
An Agency suits players who enjoy contract-style missions and repeatable active jobs. Its value is the work itself: you choose a mission, complete it and receive the result without waiting for a warehouse to fill. It is a strong alternative when your sessions are built around objectives rather than passive timers.
Auto Shop
An Auto Shop fits players who prefer vehicle-focused missions and customer or contract work. It should be compared with the Agency by mission preference and convenience, not by an unsupported universal hourly ranking.

- Used Book in Good Condition
Special Cargo
Special Cargo is a sourcing-and-selling loop. It offers direct control over how much you source and when you sell, but it also requires repeated active trips and careful stock management. It can be a better match than a production business for players who dislike waiting.
The GTA Tracker 2026 tier list groups these options alongside Acid Lab, Nightclub and Bunker because they serve different play styles. That does not establish a single current profit-per-hour order.
Solo sale logistics: the detail that can overturn a ranking
Before buying any business, identify its sale constraints. A useful solo plan answers four questions:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- What stock level will I sell? Set a deliberate threshold rather than always waiting for maximum stock.
- How many delivery vehicles can appear? More vehicles mean more routing, driving and exposure to the timer.
- Can I sell in my preferred session type? Some business activities can be completed in invite-only or closed sessions, as documented by PC Gamer, but mechanics and bonuses can change with updates.
- What happens if the mission goes wrong? Know the loss, restart and recovery conditions before risking a large stock value.
Rockstar’s 2022 update on improvements to GTA Online provides historical context for solo-oriented changes and business-related events. It is not a current payout schedule, so use it to understand the direction of the game’s solo support, not to infer today’s prices or bonuses.
Three practical purchase paths
Path 1: starting with one dependable operation
- Choose the Acid Lab if you want a relatively self-contained production loop.
- Keep stock at a level you can sell within your normal session.
- Use the waiting time for missions, heists or active work you already enjoy.
- Add a Bunker or another operation only after the first loop feels manageable.
Path 2: building a passive network
- Acquire a Nightclub after you own businesses that can supply useful warehouse categories.
- Separate popularity management from warehouse planning; they are different systems.
- Assign technicians to the categories your existing portfolio supports.
- Continue running active missions while the warehouse accumulates stock.
Path 3: choosing missions over timers
- Pick an Agency, Auto Shop or Special Cargo operation that matches the activity you enjoy.
- Use active work as your main income loop instead of buying production businesses solely for their theoretical maximum.
- Add passive businesses later if you want background production between missions.
How to compare money claims without being misled
There is no sufficiently comparable, current, primary-publisher profit-per-hour table for every GTA Online business in the available evidence. Secondary estimates use different assumptions, including upgrade levels, resupply prices, sale locations, lobby bonuses, travel time and weekly promotions. A number without those conditions is not a reliable comparison.
When you see a payout claim, record:
- the game version and date;
- whether equipment and staff upgrades are included;
- the cost of supplies or sourcing;
- the stock level and sale mission;
- the destination and any public-lobby bonus;
- the time spent traveling, defending and restarting failed attempts;
- whether a weekly event multiplier is active.
If a guide does not state those assumptions, use its ranking as a description of business roles rather than as a guaranteed earnings forecast.
Final decision checklist
- Buy Acid Lab first when you want the most self-contained solo production candidate.
- Buy Nightclub later when you already own feeder businesses and want a passive hub.
- Choose Bunker when background production appeals to you and you will control stock before selling.
- Add MC businesses when you are deliberately expanding a network or supplying Nightclub categories.
- Choose Agency, Auto Shop or Special Cargo when active missions and sourcing are more enjoyable than waiting for production.
- Ignore universal rankings that omit sale vehicles, stock levels, upgrades, session type and date.
For a new solo player, the Acid Lab is the safest default recommendation because it addresses the core need—a business you can operate without a large existing portfolio. For an established player, the Nightclub can be the better strategic purchase because it turns several businesses into a passive network. Bunker, MC, Agency, Auto Shop and Special Cargo remain valid when their specific loop fits how you actually play.
