What should PlayStation and Xbox players consider?
Fortnite Festival is the current official option identified in the cited 2026 overview for console players seeking this style of game. If you already own Rock Band 4, its game, compatible instrument, and previously acquired content may remain useful; check your console’s store in your country and the current status of online services before relying on either a new purchase or an online feature.
Do not assume that a guitar’s PlayStation version will work on Xbox, or vice versa. Platform editions may differ, and some setups can require a receiver or adapter. Confirm the exact instrument model, console generation, game mode, and connection requirements together rather than relying on a general claim that a controller is “compatible.”

How to check a guitar controller before buying
- Pick the game and platform first. Compatibility for Clone Hero on PC does not establish compatibility with Fortnite Festival on a console.
- Match the exact guitar version. Check whether the listing is for PlayStation, Xbox, or another platform, and whether it includes any receiver or adapter the setup requires.
- Check the game mode. Fortnite Festival’s Pro parts and a game’s standard controller input may have different requirements.

Fortnite Festival supplies official content within Fortnite, and Rock Band 4’s relevance can depend on songs a player previously acquired and whether they remain accessible on that platform.
