Steam Deck OLED: for a Steam library

Compare the screens without treating specifications as a verdict
Switch 2’s listed panel is larger and has a higher resolution than the Steam Deck OLED’s listed panel, while the Steam Deck uses OLED and supports HDR. Those differences describe the displays, but they do not by themselves establish which looks better in actual games. No comparative hands-on image-quality test is available here. Nintendo’s figures are from its Singapore specifications page, so consult the relevant local Nintendo page if buying in another region.

Think about battery life and portability in your own use
Valve estimates 3–12 hours of gameplay for Steam Deck OLED and specifies a 50 Whr battery; it notes that the game and settings affect runtime. Treat that range as an estimate, not a promise for a particular game or session. The cited information does not provide comparable battery estimates for Switch 2 and ROG Xbox Ally, so it cannot establish which lasts longest.
Likewise, dimensions and weights were not established on a comparable basis for these candidates. If you plan to carry a handheld every day, check the measurements and weight on the exact local product listing rather than inferring portability from screen size or product category.
