If you already stream from an Android phone, IRL Pro may be enough; the cheapest useful alternative depends on what you need it to do. A different phone encoder can change the app workflow, SRTLA with Moblin or BELABOX is a route to combining connections, and a relay adds a separate service rather than replacing an encoder. Premium bonded hardware is a different, much more expensive category.
Choose by the job you need done
“IRL Pro alternative” can mean three different things: another app that encodes a phone camera feed, a relay that receives and forwards an encoder’s stream, or a bonded hardware system intended for mobile production. These are not interchangeable. Before switching, decide whether your actual problem is app availability, stream stability while moving, or a desire for a managed hardware setup.
- Need a phone app? Compare supported phones, destinations, protocols, and encoder controls. IRL Pro’s Google Play listing describes an Android streaming app for YouTube, Twitch, and other services. The listing says it was updated on 18 September 2024; check the live listing for current availability and features: Google Play listing.
- Need multiple connections? A one-connection phone stream is not bonded simply because it uses RTMP or SRT. The technical guide says IRL Pro uses RTMP and SRT over one connection and points creators seeking to combine connections toward an SRTLA workflow with Moblin or BELABOX. That adds setup and should not be mistaken for an identical drop-in app replacement: Enhanced IRL guide.
- Need a relay? A relay is an extra part of the path. It may forward or protect an encoder feed, but still requires an encoder such as OBS, Streamlabs, or vMix where the service specifies one.
- Need a complete field kit? Bonded hardware combines equipment and connectivity in a more managed setup, at a substantially higher purchase cost.
Phone-first options: keep the setup simple
Keep using IRL Pro if it meets your needs
For an Android creator whose phone connection and current broadcast workflow are adequate, changing apps may not solve anything. Check the live Google Play listing before relying on its availability, destinations, or maintenance status; its stated update date is 18 September 2024. The listing describes support for YouTube, Twitch, and other services, but that alone does not establish every feature or current compatibility.
Check other phone encoders before switching
PRISM Live Studio, Larix Broadcaster, and Moblin are names to investigate, but the available evidence here does not establish current India storefront availability, prices, or a dependable feature-by-feature comparison. Verify the official listing for your device and region, then confirm the destination and protocol you need. In particular, do not assume another encoder automatically bonds cellular connections or duplicates IRL Pro’s controls.

For a budget phone setup, compare alternatives against the need that prompted the search: Android or iOS support, YouTube destination, protocol, encoder settings, overlays, and whether the app uses one connection or participates in a separate bonding workflow. A free or low-cost encoder still uses mobile data and phone battery.
When combining mobile connections matters
The cited Enhanced IRL technical guide describes IRL Pro as using RTMP or SRT over one connection, not bonding multiple connections. If your priority is combining connections, it points to SRTLA with Moblin or BELABOX. This is a different workflow with extra configuration; the guide does not establish that either is a like-for-like IRL Pro app replacement or that each has identical destinations and features.
Before building around this route, verify current official app availability for your phone and region, how the SRTLA path is configured, and where the stream is ultimately sent. More links in the chain mean more settings and potential failure points. Do not pay for a relay or buy hardware until you know which part of the path it supplies.

Add a relay only when your workflow calls for one
IRLServer’s Standard plan is listed at $9.99/month on the captured page; the page year was not stated. It lists RTMP, SRT, and SRTLA relay endpoints, a 20 Mb/s maximum input bitrate, uncapped resolution, and no data caps or overage fees. It says users bring their own OBS, Streamlabs, or vMix. Confirm current terms directly before subscribing: IRLServer.
This is a relay, not a phone-camera app or a complete encoder. In the listed workflow, a phone or other encoder sends to the relay, and separate receiving software is used to continue the broadcast. That can be useful if you specifically need a relay endpoint or its stated path, but it adds a recurring charge and another component to configure. It is not automatically necessary for every IRL creator.
Premium bonded hardware is a separate budget tier
Vendor comparison pages illustrate how quickly dedicated field systems move beyond a budget phone-app decision. IRL Bonded’s 2026 search-captured comparison lists LiveU Solo starting at $1,500 plus $45 or more per month, and TVU One at $10,000 or more. These are vendor comparison claims, not independently verified quotes; check with the vendor for current pricing and what is included: IRL Bonded comparison.

UnlimitedIRL lists its IRL Backpack v7 at $2,995 without a camera. The page describes it as an all-in-one bonded video-streaming system and says it uses hot-swappable USB-C power banks for extended operation. That is a hardware upgrade path, not a low-cost phone-app substitute; verify current availability and specifications with the vendor: UnlimitedIRL.
Budget for data, power, and the whole path
The app price is only one part of the cost. Account for mobile data, phone power, any recurring relay fee, and any separate receiving software or hardware your chosen path needs. For long mobile streams, a USB-C power bank can help with endurance; the UnlimitedIRL system’s use of hot-swappable banks is one example of the category, not a recommendation of a particular model. Check that a bank’s output, cable, charging standard, capacity, weight, and phone or rig compatibility fit your setup.

Keep the live-stream rules in view
An alternative encoder or relay does not grant rights to the video or audio you broadcast. Use footage, music, and other material you have permission to stream, and review YouTube’s current live-streaming and copyright rules before going live. Changing the delivery app does not remove the creator’s responsibility for the content.

For a different need—keeping a pre-recorded YouTube stream running 24/7 rather than broadcasting live from a phone camera—StreamNeo is a cloud service that loops uploaded videos or playlists. Upload a recording, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay powered on at home; it streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream, and the first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. It is for uploaded video streams to YouTube, not camera-based IRL broadcasts. Start the free first day.
