For Black Ops 6 Multiplayer on PC, start with Aiming Input Device: Mouse, Mouse Acceleration: 0.00, Mouse Filtering: 0, Mouse Smoothing: Off, and separate slide and dive inputs through Slide/Dive Activation: Independent. Use the bind layout below as a practical starting point, then adjust sensitivity and movement assistance around your own mouse DPI, pad size, and playstyle.
Open Settings → Keyboard & Mouse, then use the Mouse, Movement, Combat, and Keybinds sections. Before changing anything
Set Aiming Input Device to Mouse before entering a lobby. Black Ops 6 does not let you switch between Keyboard & Mouse and Controller after joining a match.
This guide focuses on Black Ops 6 Multiplayer. Warzone shares the broad Omnimovement and Intelligent Movement systems, but adds mode-specific controls for features such as armor plates, parachuting, and Warzone overlays.

How to choose sensitivity
There is no objectively best Black Ops 6 sensitivity. The in-game value is separate from your physical mouse DPI, so 6.00 feels different at 400, 800, 1,000, or 1,600 DPI. A commonly published starting point is 6.00 at 1,000 DPI, but it is only a baseline.
Activision recommends starting with the default sensitivity and adjusting gradually. Change one setting at a time and keep it long enough to judge both tracking and fast turns. Per-zoom sensitivity is best left off until your general sensitivity feels consistent. Fixed eDPI ranges such as 2,000–6,000 should be treated as editorial starting points, not Black Ops 6 requirements.

Omnimovement supports movement, slides, and dives in multiple directions, but Tactical Sprint is forward-only. Tactical Sprint Assist is also not the same as assigning a dedicated Tactical Sprint key: it is an Intelligent Movement option that changes how movement input engages sprint.

With shared slide-and-dive activation, the game uses tap-versus-hold behavior: tapping crouch while sprinting produces a slide, while holding it produces a dive. Set Slide/Dive Activation to Independent if you want separate keyboard-and-mouse controls and fewer accidental actions. Sliding or diving requires the character to be sprinting or Tactical Sprinting.

Do not initially assign crouch, prone, slide, and dive to several overlapping inputs. Duplicate bindings can make it unclear which command caused an unwanted movement state. Test each action in a private or low-stakes match before adding extra shortcuts.

Black Ops 6 includes a separate Dedicated Melee Weapon Activation behavior. Giving it its own key is more immediate than relying on a hold of the normal melee button. If Weapon Mount Activation is set to Weapon Mount (Toggle), use a dedicated mount key; otherwise, Hold can reduce accidental mounting.

Reload and interact often share a button. Use Prioritize Interact instead of Prioritize Reload if objectives and pickups matter more to you than avoiding accidental reloads. Activision lists Tap to Reload, Tap to Interact, and priority-based choices in its controls guide.

Sprint Cancels Reload: On provides a quick way to stop reloading, but sprint input can also interrupt a reload unintentionally. Likewise, enabling Mantle Cancels Reload can cause a mantle to take priority over a reload, so leave it off if reload consistency is more important than faster traversal.

Warzone includes additional overlay and gameplay-stat commands, so do not assume every Warzone bind is available or necessary in standalone Black Ops 6 Multiplayer.

Fixing common settings problems
- You cannot change input device in a match: set Aiming Input Device before joining the lobby.
- You are diving when you meant to slide: check Slide/Dive Activation and use Independent for separate inputs.
- You mantle during a gunfight: disable Mantle Assist, including sideways, backward, or Tactical-Sprint-only assistance where available.
- You crouch or slide near an opening: disable Crouch Assist.
- ADS feels inconsistent: review ADS Sensitivity Transition Timing, ADS Sensitivity Type, and Custom Sensitivity Per Zoom together. The Open Beta issue involving Instant timing was stated by Treyarch to be fixed at launch; it should not be treated as a permanent full-game limitation. See the official Open Beta patch notes.
- Tactical Sprint changes your movement unexpectedly: turn Sprint Assist off for more manual control.
- Your binds revert: confirm the keybind preset is set to Custom, not Default. Reports of rollback issues are player-reported rather than a universal officially documented bug.

- Set Aiming Input Device to Mouse before entering a match.
- Apply the mouse baseline and choose sensitivity for your DPI and pad.
- Turn off assist features that cause unwanted mantles or crouches.
- Use Independent slide/dive activation if you want separate binds.
- Set the keybind preset to Custom.
- Test reload, interact, slide, dive, mantle, mount, and equipment inputs in a match.
- Change one setting at a time so you know which adjustment helped or hurt.
