Trail’s End is a Bellhart Wayfarer Wish that becomes available only after you meet several requirements—not simply after buying every map from Shakra. Completing it awards the Throwing Ring and unlocks Shakra’s optional duel in Greymoor during Act 2.
Trail’s End prerequisites
Before the Wish appears at Bellhart’s Wishwall, you must satisfy all three conditions:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Buy all 14 of Shakra’s maps.
- Obtain the Faydown Cloak.
- Either learn at least two parts of the Threefold Melody or defeat Groal the Great.
The full map collection costs 890 Rosaries. The required maps are:

How to start Trail’s End
- Travel to Bellhart.
- Interact with the town’s Wishwall.
- Select Trail’s End.
- Accept the Wish.
The in-game location is called a Wishwall, not a Wishboard. Once accepted, the Wish directs Hornet to find Shakra and her master in Bilewater.
Find Shakra in Bilewater
With the Wish active, look for the scattered throwing rings marking Shakra’s route. Follow them toward the upper-eastern section of Bilewater, where an entrance to a small cave becomes accessible.
Expect a demanding route with long vertical climbs, spike traps, projectile-firing enemies, narrow passages, acid and other hazardous pools. Double Jump is particularly valuable for the ascent. Cling Grip makes the route easier, although it is not listed as an explicit quest requirement.
- Enter the small cave in northeastern Bilewater.
- Follow the ring trail through the hidden passage.
- Speak with Shakra beside her deceased master.
- When prompted, use the Needolin to complete the song-sending sequence.
There is no boss fight at this location. The Wish ends through the conversation and Needolin sequence.

Trail’s End rewards
Completing the Wish grants:
- The Throwing Ring tool.
- The designs needed to craft additional Throwing Rings.
- The Trail’s End achievement.
- Access to Shakra as a possible ally for the Forum enemy gauntlet in High Halls.
- A prerequisite for the Silk and Soul Wish.
The Throwing Ring can be stocked up to 12 and bounces between enemies and solid surfaces, making it useful against groups and enemies positioned on walls.
How to unlock Shakra’s boss fight
Shakra’s duel is separate from the Trail’s End quest and does not occur in Bilewater.
- Complete Trail’s End.
- Leave Bellhart through the entrance leading into Greymoor.
- Find Shakra’s ring post near the Bellhart entrance.
- Strike the ring post to summon Shakra.
- Interact with Shakra to begin the duel.
Do not return to Shakra’s master’s resting place expecting the fight to start there. The Greymoor ring post is the trigger.
When the duel is available
- The duel is available during Act 2.
- The ring post disappears when Act 3 begins.
- The duel is unavailable while the Flea Caravan is in Greymoor.
- After winning, you can repeat the duel.
Losing is non-permanent: Hornet wakes near the challenge post. Consequently, losing this duel in Steel Soul Mode does not permanently destroy the profile.

Shakra boss fight strategy
Shakra has 600 health and staggers after 11 hits. The attack names below are descriptive labels rather than necessarily the names shown in-game.
Teleport
Shakra repeatedly teleports around the arena and generally keeps her distance. Do not chase after every teleport. Wait for the attack that follows, then respond to its animation.
Ring Throw
Shakra teleports into the air and throws one or two rings in quick succession. Each ring bounces once and does not follow normal gravity. Avoid moving in as soon as the first ring passes; the second ring may arrive immediately or rebound through the arena.

Ring Burst
Shakra appears above Hornet, pauses briefly, then slams down and creates a ring-shaped energy burst. Move away from the landing point or reposition laterally rather than standing directly underneath her.

Ring Thrust
In the Greymoor duel, Shakra can teleport to ground level and dash toward Hornet before releasing a large energy pulse. If Hornet ends up behind her, Shakra may follow with a ring throw in the opposite direction. Wait until the dash and pulse have clearly finished before attacking.
A reliable approach
- Stay near the arena’s center so bounced rings are easier to track.
- Do not attack immediately after every teleport.
- Jump or move laterally when Shakra appears overhead.
- After Ring Thrust, punish only after the landing area is safe.
- Continue treating bounced rings as active threats after their first pass.
- Use short attack strings instead of long combos.
- Work toward the 11-hit stagger with controlled punishes rather than risky burst damage.
Shakra gives no conventional item reward for winning. The Throwing Ring comes from completing Trail’s End; the duel mainly provides the optional challenge and adds Shakra’s Hunter’s Journal entry. That Journal entry is not required for the Hunter’s Memento.

Every map is purchased, but the Wish is missing
Map completion alone is insufficient. Confirm that you also have the Faydown Cloak and either two parts of the Threefold Melody or a victory over Groal the Great.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsShakra disappeared before selling a map
Her missed stock remains obtainable later. In Bone Bottom, she can be summoned by striking the ring post. After certain progression points—including defeating Widow or completing The Terrible Tyrant—she moves to Bellhart permanently and can no longer be recalled to Bone Bottom.
Best Value
Shakra vanished after the requirements were met
This is expected. Once the Trail’s End prerequisites are fulfilled, Shakra leaves her normal locations until the Wish is completed.
The duel is missing after completing the quest
Check the Greymoor entrance outside Bellhart and strike Shakra’s ring post. The fight will not begin in Bilewater. Also check that the game is still in Act 2 and that the Flea Caravan is not occupying Greymoor.
Shakra is not available as a Forum ally
She becomes available after Trail’s End only if the Forum fight has not already been completed. Her appearance can override Garmond and Zaza if their related duel has also been completed.
Version note
Team Cherry’s latest significant listed update is Patch 5, version 1.0.30000, released for PC on March 16, 2026. Its published notes mention localization, collision, out-of-bounds, tool and enemy fixes, but do not list a change to Trail’s End’s prerequisites or a redesign of Shakra’s duel.
The patch also notes German localization changes affecting some proper nouns, so German-language guides may use different names for locations or characters.
