Start with PlayStation’s published target tiers—1080p Low, 1440p Medium or High, and 4K Very High, each targeting 60 FPS—then adjust from the tier closest to your hardware. These are publisher targets, not guarantees for every PC.
Start with the published resolution and preset targets
PlayStation’s current PC specifications identify 1080p Low at 60 FPS as the minimum target and 1440p Medium at 60 FPS as the recommended target. Its May 2025 announcement also lists 1440p High and 4K Very High tiers at 60 FPS. Treat the tiers as a starting point rather than a promise: the official figures do not establish how every GPU performs in every scene.

These are examples in Sony Interactive Entertainment’s published PC specifications, not independent benchmark results. All listed tiers specify Windows 10 64-bit and 16 GB RAM. The current PlayStation PC page describes the recommended tier as 1440p Medium at 60 FPS and minimum as 1080p Low at 60 FPS; the additional High and Very High tiers come from the May 15, 2025 PlayStation.Blog announcement.

For 1080p
Use Low at 1080p as the closest official starting point if your system is near the minimum tier. If your hardware has more headroom, raise the preset incrementally and check whether the resulting image quality is worth any change in frame rate or smoothness. The official materials do not establish a universal 1080p preset for every GPU.

For 1440p
Medium is the official recommended target at 1440p; High is also listed for 1440p, with RTX 2070 SUPER and RX 6700 XT as the announcement’s example GPUs. If you are aiming for more FPS, begin at Medium rather than lowering every option at once. Move settings gradually and judge the result on your own system.
For 4K
Very High at 4K is the publisher’s 60 FPS target tier, with RTX 3080 and RX 7900 XT as example GPUs. If your system falls short of your desired performance, lower the preset or consider an upscaling option supported by your hardware. The cited official sources do not provide controlled benchmarks showing the best trade-off for each graphics card.

Should you use DLSS, FSR, DLAA, or frame generation?
The PC version lists NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 for upscaling and frame generation, NVIDIA DLAA for image enhancement, and NVIDIA Reflex for latency reduction. The official sources name these features but do not compare their image quality, performance, or latency in Stellar Blade.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- DLSS 4 or FSR 3: Consider the option compatible with your hardware and evaluate the image and performance on your display. The available evidence does not show that one is universally better.
- DLAA: This is identified as an image-enhancement option, distinct from the listed upscaling choices. The source provides no comparative image-quality measurements.
- Frame generation: The game supports frame generation, but generated frames should not be treated as proof of improved responsiveness. The official materials provide no game-specific latency measurements.
- Reflex: NVIDIA Reflex is listed for latency reduction. It may be worth considering if responsiveness matters to you and the option is available on your setup; its impact in this game is not quantified in the cited sources.
- Unlocked frame rate: The PC version supports an unlocked frame rate. This is separate from frame generation: choose whether to cap or unlock based on your preference and how the game behaves on your hardware.
Match the display and texture options to your setup
Shift Up’s announcement says the PC version supports aspect ratios from 5:4 through 32:9. Use the aspect ratio that matches your monitor rather than forcing a different shape. The settings also include a 4K background-texture option. It is a quality choice, not an automatic requirement; the announcement does not state its VRAM cost or performance impact, so consider your hardware priorities when deciding whether to use it.

A practical way to tune for more FPS or image quality
- Set your display resolution and aspect ratio. Use your monitor’s native resolution and matching aspect ratio, then choose the closest official preset tier for your GPU.
- Decide what matters most. Set a priority—image detail, a target frame rate, or responsive controls—before changing features that affect rendering or latency.
- Adjust in small steps. If performance misses your goal, reduce the preset or evaluate supported upscaling rather than lowering every setting at once. If you have headroom, raise settings gradually.
- Evaluate the actual experience. Check frame rate, perceived smoothness, image quality, and control responsiveness on your own PC. The official target tiers are not a substitute for testing your particular hardware and display.
This is a practical tuning approach, not a tested slider-by-slider recipe. The cited official specifications do not publish controlled per-setting benchmarks or GPU-by-GPU optimized configurations.
