As of October 4, 2026, the latest dated stage found in Riot’s announcements is V26A4, whose matches began July 1 and whose playoffs were scheduled for August 15–16. Those dates have passed, and a later stage schedule is not established here.

Premier is an in-game team competition built around weekly matches and playoff tournaments. Riot has not established a later-stage schedule in the official material cited here, so don’t treat V26A4 dates as upcoming or assume its dates, thresholds, or rules carry into another stage.

How queue windows and weekly match limits work
Queue availability is organized by zone, so use the window shown for your team in the client rather than relying on old published time examples. Riot’s Premier Launch FAQ describes a limit of two matches per map during a weekly window, with the window resetting Tuesday. According to that 2023 guidance, a team could play both matches in one day if it finished the first and queued again before the zone’s window closed; after using both matches on a map, it could not play that map again in another window that week. Queue early enough to leave time for matchmaking. Riot’s FAQ warns that joining late in a window may leave too little time to find an opponent. Matchmaking duration is not guaranteed; the FAQ’s old wait estimate should not be treated as a current promise.

Divisions, rosters, and team roles
Riot’s 2023 FAQ listed divisions from lowest to highest as Open, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite, and Contender, with tiers numbered 1–5 in the first four divisions. It said placement was based on the team’s five highest-ranked players’ MMR. The FAQ also said a team could not change divisions after a stage began, and that roster changes after the start were restricted if they would change the team’s division. Because these are older rules, verify the current division labels and restrictions in the Premier Hub.

- Roster: The FAQ described rosters of five to seven players, with any of the seven able to participate in a match.
- Team Owner: Manages enrollment and the team’s zone in the FAQ’s model.
- Party leader: Brings the team into queue and handles tournament map pick/ban. The Team Owner does not need to be present for the team to queue.

Eligibility and enrollment
Riot’s 2023 FAQ said players needed SMS identity verification and established MMR from completing ranked placements at some point on the account. It also described account-standing restrictions, including restrictions related to recent penalties. The FAQ is not a reliable basis for asserting that its eligibility or penalty windows remain unchanged, so consult the current Premier Hub and Riot guidance before forming a team.
Enrollment guidance in the older FAQ conflicts with later Riot guidance: the FAQ described enrolling for a stage and selecting a zone, while Patch 8.04 announced “No more enrollment!” and said teams could be created and begin playing at any time during that stage. How Premier matchmaking and playoffs work
Riot’s FAQ says weekly opponents are drawn from the same division, with matchmaking seeking teams close in performance based on team MMR thresholds. It also cautions that longer waits may mean a wider performance difference while retaining division matching. That makes queue time and opponent closeness goals, not guarantees; the FAQ dates from 2023.
V26A4 playoff qualification
V26A4 used different qualification methods by division. Contender and Invite teams qualified by standings placement; other divisions needed 600 Premier Score. That threshold and the V26A4 playoff calendar are stage-specific, not a standing rule for future stages.

Can you queue for Premier from the Range?
No. Riot’s Patch 13.06 says players can enter the Range while queueing in supported modes, but Premier is among the modes that do not support queueing from the Range. Riot’s Patch 13.06 notes.
