For a general Black Ops 6 Multiplayer starting point, use the PPSh-41 with Gunfighter and build around recoil control: Kepler Microflex, Compensator, Long Barrel, Vertical Foregrip, Extended Mag I, Agility Stock, Fast Motion Laser, and Recoil Springs. This is a published guide setup, not a verified October 2026 meta ranking; check the current in-game balance before treating it as definitive.
Recommended general Multiplayer build
PC Gamer’s published Gunfighter configuration pairs recoil-control attachments with an optic and a larger magazine:

The configuration is listed in PC Gamer’s PPSh-41 loadout guide. The attachments address the weapon’s demanding recoil and rapid ammunition use, while the optic provides a conventional sight picture. The build uses all eight primary attachment slots through Gunfighter.
Class setup for the Gunfighter build
PC Gamer pairs the weapon with this class:
- Secondary: Grekhova
- Tactical: Stim Shot
- Lethal: Semtex
- Field Upgrade: Spring Mine
- Perks: Gung-Ho, Assassin, Slipstream
- Combat Specialty: Enforcer
- Wildcard: Gunfighter
In Black Ops 6, three perks from one Combat Specialty activate that specialty. Activision’s loadout guide also distinguishes Gunfighter, which adds primary-weapon attachment capacity, from Perk Greed, which grants a fourth perk. The choice is a tradeoff: Gunfighter supports this eight-attachment setup, while a five-attachment weapon can leave the wildcard slot available for a different class benefit.

Why recoil and ammunition matter
Activision introduced the PPSh-41 in Season 02 as a full-auto SMG with a fast fire rate, high recoil, and moderate handling. The official weapon description says it excels at close range and advises burst firing to manage its unpredictable recoil. It also lists a 32-round base magazine and 35 weapon levels. These are specifications from Activision’s Season 02 introduction, not a current damage or time-to-kill assessment: Activision’s Season 02 announcement.
That combination explains the build’s priorities. A compensator, foregrip, and recoil springs support control; Extended Mag I helps when the weapon’s fast firing burns through ammunition. Activision separately suggests Extended Mag, Assault Pack, or Scavenger to address ammunition shortages in longer fights. SMGs are intended for short-range engagements and mobility; barrel, underbarrel, magazine, and laser choices can each shift range, recoil, ammunition, or aiming behavior, as outlined in Activision’s Multiplayer loadout guide.

Alternative: Tac Stance Helical Magazine build
If you prefer a Tac Stance-oriented setup over the conventional Gunfighter build, CODMunity lists this five-attachment option:

Which setup should you choose?
- Choose the Gunfighter build if you want a conventional aiming setup with eight attachments and dedicated recoil-control components.
- Choose the Helical build if you deliberately play in Tac Stance and accept the publisher’s warning about ADS bloom.
- Adjust for your matches: If recoil feels manageable, prioritize the attachments or class choices that fit your movement and sight preference; if ammunition runs short, consider the official ammunition-management options Activision identifies.
How current are these recommendations?
The builds cited here were published or updated in 2025. Activision’s Season 04 patch notes describe continuing attachment tuning intended to improve underused attachments and support weapon-specific builds, but those historical notes do not establish a PPSh-41 ranking for October 2026: Season 04 patch notes. No current pick rate, damage, recoil measurement, or time-to-kill figure is established by these sources. Use the general build as a starting configuration and validate it against the current client’s attachment behavior.
