There is no verified settings profile that is best for every REDSEC player. Start with a setup that suits your platform, then tune for stable performance, clear visibility, and controls that feel comfortable. The console values below are one writer’s recommendations—not an official EA preset or a measured competitive advantage. For PC, the right graphics balance depends on your GPU, resolution, and display refresh rate.
Before tuning, check that your system meets REDSEC’s requirements
EA’s listed PC requirements provide a baseline, not a promise of a particular frame rate. Its PC requirements page also lists security conditions, including TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot, HVCI, and VBS.

Meeting the recommended specification does not establish what frame rate you will get: resolution, graphics settings, and the rest of your system matter too.
Best REDSEC settings for PC: tune for your display and hardware
EA publishes system requirements, not a universal graphics preset. Treat PC settings as a practical tuning exercise rather than a recipe with guaranteed FPS gains.

- Start at your display’s native resolution. This gives you a clear baseline before changing image quality or performance options.
- Check actual play performance. If the game does not run smoothly enough for your target refresh rate, lower demanding graphics settings a few at a time and compare the result in play.
- Balance clarity and consistency. A higher frame rate is useful only if the image remains clear enough for you; compare visual detail and smoothness together rather than assuming one preset suits every GPU.
- Make changes in context. Note your GPU, resolution, target refresh rate, and which settings you changed. The available sources do not establish controlled comparisons or reliable frame-rate gains across different PCs.
A third-party PC guide discusses resolution, VSync, frame caps, render scale, graphics, visibility, audio, and controls, but its reported before-and-after outcomes are that guide’s own account, not independently validated results. Read the PC settings guide as one perspective, not a guaranteed benchmark.
Console controller settings: a starting point to test
Windows Central contributor Adam Hales published these console recommendations on October 29, 2025. They are editorial suggestions, and the guide explicitly treats some choices as personal preference. Use them as a baseline, then adjust to your hands and aim style. See the full guide.

The guide’s author uses a field of view of about 105, while describing field of view as personal preference. Treat the number as that author’s choice, not an objectively best value.
Dead zones and movement
- Controller vibration: Off
- Center deadzone: 4 on both sticks
- Axial deadzone: 6
- Maximum input threshold: 100
- Vault Over Sprint: On
- Double Tap Crouch For Sprint Slide: Off
- Interact & Reload: Prioritize Interact
With Double Tap Crouch For Sprint Slide off, the guide says a single crouch press while sprinting can initiate a slide. Deadzone values are not universal: if your sticks drift or your aim feels unresponsive, adjust them rather than treating these figures as targets.

Range Finder mapping
If you have unlocked and equipped the Range Finder attachment, the guide recommends binding “Range Finder Zeroing if Zoomed” to the Steady Aim button, typically L3. It describes this mapping as enabling automatic range detection while holding breath with the attachment equipped.
Visibility and image quality on console
The same Windows Central guide recommends these display and HUD choices. Its World Brightness value and crosshair suggestions are author preferences; check the result on your display and in the environments where you play.

The guide leaves crosshair thickness to personal preference. If the suggested brightness or crosshair color is hard to read on your screen, change it until targets and the reticle remain distinct without making the overall image uncomfortable.

Windows Central’s console guide suggests the High Dynamic audio mix and recommends headphones if available. That is a starting point, not proof that the mix is best for every headset, speaker setup, or listening environment. If you use headphones, choose a volume that lets you hear cues comfortably without raising it to an uncomfortable level.

Availability and account requirements
EA Help lists REDSEC for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. PC downloads are available through the EA app, Steam, or Epic Games. An EA account and stable internet connection are required.
