For solo material runs, a quiet, mobile loadout built to avoid fights is the safest practical default—not a proven universal best. One guide recommends a Ferro battle rifle, Canto SMG and light armor, with healing, a stim and a Hatch Key; those are its suggested picks, not results from a controlled comparison. If your goal is PvP, learning cheaply or another kind of raid, use a setup matched to that purpose instead. This guidance reflects sources available before Embark’s October 8, 2026 Frozen Trail update, which includes a Skill Tree adjustment.
What is the best solo loadout?
For looting and extraction, prioritize staying quiet, moving efficiently, covering more than one engagement range and having a way to disengage. Solo players have no teammate to cover them or revive them, so avoiding a prolonged fight can matter more than maximizing damage. A solo guide from GameBrief recommends this stealth-looting setup:
- Weapons: Ferro battle rifle for mid-range and Canto SMG as a close-range backup.
- Armor: Light armor.
- Healing and utility: Two medkits, one stim and a Hatch Key.
GameBrief also recommends taking a quiet route and using a silent hatch extraction if a run turns dangerous. Treat the equipment list as one guide’s practical recommendation, not a verified best-in-slot build: the available sources do not establish a controlled comparison or a solo-build win or extraction rate. Choose a build for the raid you intend to play
A loot run, a low-cost learning run and an aggressive PvP run ask different things of a loadout. No single option is established as the winner across cost, stealth, survival and combat.

| Raid purpose | Suggested direction | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Stealth looting and extraction | Ferro, Canto and light armor, with healing, a stim and a Hatch Key (GameBrief recommendation). | Prioritize quiet movement and disengagement; this is a guide’s suggestion, not a proven ranking. |
| Low-cost or beginner run | A looting augment for carrying capacity, starter Ferro and Stitcher backup (ARC Raiders Wiki recommendation). | The wiki notes that its advice includes anecdotal player experience, so use this as a starting point rather than authoritative current balance advice. |
| Balanced endgame run | Tempest, Anvil, Medium Shield and a mix of combat and looting utility (GameGuidesBox recommendation). | The guide was published April 5, 2026; it does not establish an objective ranking. |
| Aggressive solo PvP | Choose a combat-oriented build rather than the stealth-looting setup; GameGuidesBox and TheArcRaiders.com describe separate PvP or combat builds. | Neither guide establishes a definitive best build or supplies primary comparative evidence. |

What should you prioritize for solo looting?
Skills and equipment should support the same plan: reduce avoidable exposure, stay mobile and leave with what you collected. ARC Raiders Score’s July 2026 guide recommends stamina and recovery skills for solo survival, and highlights Looter’s Instincts and Silent Scavenger for gathering runs. It describes the tree’s branches as Conditioning, Mobility and Survival.

Why extraction and loss risk shape the build
In ARC Raiders, a player loses everything on death and must reach an extraction point before the match ends, according to the game wiki. That makes escape utility and survival capacity part of the build decision, not an afterthought: a high-damage setup may be a poor fit if your objective is to secure gathered materials rather than seek fights. How current is this solo-build advice?
This is a pre-Frozen Trail recommendation. Embark’s August 12 announcement set October 8, 2026 for the update and described a new map, new ARC threats, deeper progression and a Skill Tree adjustment. The announcement quotes Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal: “One lesson that’s continued to shape our thinking is that the most rewarding raids are driven by meaningful choices.”
Embark’s September 8 Live Update 1.45.0 reduced Aphelion weapon sway and said the studio expected a smaller update before October 8. Its September 22 Store Update 1.47.0 page covered bug fixes and known issues and pointed to later September updates. These notes do not establish that weapon or skill balance remained unchanged through October 4, so they are not a basis for claiming this loadout is the live post-update meta.
