If you want another cinematic, story-led adventure after Uncharted, start with the modern Tomb Raider games: they’re the closest broad match for third-person exploration, traversal, puzzles, and action. For a different flavor, choose The Last of Us Part I for tense character drama, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for first-person treasure hunting, God of War for mythic combat, or Horizon Forbidden West for a much larger world to explore.
What makes a game feel like Uncharted?
There isn’t one feature that makes a game a match. Uncharted combines a cinematic story, directed action sequences, exploration, traversal, puzzles, and third-person combat. A game can share its storytelling or adventurous mood while feeling very different to play.
- Camera: Third-person games are the most familiar; Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is first-person.
- Tone: A globe-trotting adventure is a different experience from post-apocalyptic survival or mythic fantasy.
- World structure: Directed sequences and set pieces differ from open areas and expansive worlds.
- Action: Games may emphasize firearms and traversal, stealth and survival, melee combat, or puzzles and exploration.
The recommendations below are organized around those differences, so you can pick the kind of similarity you actually want.

| Star Wars Jedi: Survivor | Third-person cinematic action and traversal | Science-fiction setting | A galaxy-spanning action-adventure |
Choose by the kind of adventure you want
Closest broad match: the modern Tomb Raider games
If you want to stay closest to Uncharted’s third-person adventure shape, begin with the modern Tomb Raider games. Their broad appeal here is the combination of exploration, traversal, puzzles, and action. They’re a natural place to look for another adventure led by movement through environments, rather than a game that matches Uncharted only in cinematic storytelling.

Best for a darker character story: The Last of Us Part I
The Last of Us Part I is a strong choice if what you want next is a cinematic story that keeps its characters at the center. PlayStation describes Joel and Ellie’s journey alongside exploration and combat in the rebuilt version. It shares narrative momentum and presentation with Uncharted, but its post-apocalyptic survival setting is markedly heavier and less adventurous in tone.

Best for treasure hunting and puzzles: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the pick if you want archaeological adventure, exploration, and puzzles. PlayStation describes a mix of linear, narrative-driven gameplay and open-area maps; Xbox identifies it as a first-person, single-player adventure. That camera difference matters: it offers an adventure story, but not the familiar third-person view of Uncharted.

- UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PlayStation 5 New Video Game

Best for mythic action: God of War and God of War Ragnarök
God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök are worth choosing if you want a substantial, cinematic story and are happy to trade treasure-hunt adventure for mythic settings and more combat-focused action. Their story-led approach is the point of overlap; their fantasy worlds and combat emphasis make them a different kind of journey.
PlayStation says both games are available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Check the relevant store for current platform and edition details.

Best for open-world exploration: Horizon Forbidden West
Choose Horizon Forbidden West if you’d rather explore a large world than move through a tightly directed sequence of set pieces. PlayStation describes it as an action RPG adventure with an expansive open world, narrative mysteries, exploration, and strategic combat. It shares story-led action with Uncharted, but its open-world structure and progression systems give it a much broader, less tightly directed feel.

Best for third-person science-fiction action: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an alternative if you want third-person action-adventure and traversal in a science-fiction setting. Lucasfilm describes it as a third-person, galaxy-spanning action-adventure. That makes it relevant to players drawn to cinematic movement and action, though the setting is far from Uncharted’s globe-trotting treasure hunts.
