For an Amazon-only WordPress site, compare AAWP and AzonPress first. AAWP is built around Amazon catalog data delivered through the Creators API, while AzonPress offers product displays, comparison tables, geotargeting, click tracking, and a Zero API mode. Choose Lasso instead when you manage several affiliate networks, and consider AmaLinks Pro only after confirming that it is still operating. ThirstyAffiliates is useful for organizing affiliate URLs, but it is not a native Amazon product-box or comparison-table solution.
Which plugin fits your site?
The right choice depends less on a feature-count checklist than on how you obtain Amazon data, how many marketplaces you serve, and whether Amazon is your only affiliate program. Use this quick orientation before looking at individual plugins:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Amazon-only, API-eligible publisher: Start with AAWP if automated catalog data, product boxes, bestseller lists, and comparison tables are your priorities.
- Amazon-only, uncertain API access: Start with AzonPress because its Zero API option is designed for sites that cannot yet use the API.
- Several affiliate networks: Lasso is the better fit when one system must manage links, displays, link health, and revenue across programs.
- No-API display workflow: AmaLinks Pro is described as supporting text links, image links, calls to action, showcases, and comparison tables without API access, but its current availability needs verification.
- Link organization only: ThirstyAffiliates is a general affiliate-link manager. The comparison evidence does not credit it with native Amazon product boxes or comparison tables.
Features and prices change quickly, so treat the 2026 figures below as a purchase-time checklist rather than a permanent price guarantee.
What to compare in an Amazon affiliate plugin
API dependency
Amazon product information can be inserted manually, imported through an approved API connection, or supplied through a plugin’s own no-API workflow. API access affects whether product titles, images, prices, and availability can be refreshed programmatically. A no-API mode can remove an eligibility barrier, but you still have to follow Amazon’s rules for permitted content and links.
#1 Best Overall
Display types
Check whether the plugin creates the exact components your articles need: individual product boxes, side-by-side comparison tables, bestseller lists, product fields, image links, text links, and CTA blocks. A link manager may shorten or organize URLs without creating any of those layouts.
Marketplace localization
If readers are distributed across countries, look for geotargeting or another method of sending a visitor to the appropriate Amazon storefront. Do not assume that a plugin supports every marketplace merely because it supports Amazon links; confirm the countries and partner tags it can handle.
Reporting and maintenance
Click counts, link-health checks, out-of-stock alerts, and revenue reporting answer different questions. A click report does not prove a commission, and a revenue dashboard may depend on data imported from each affiliate network. Also check whether the vendor is actively maintaining the plugin and answering support requests.
License scope
Compare the number of sites covered, renewal terms, lifetime options, and whether an agency needs a broader license. A low monthly equivalent can still be an annual payment, while a lifetime price may apply to only one site.
AAWP: an API-driven choice for Amazon-only publishers
AAWP is described as an Amazon-focused display plugin that uses API-delivered catalog data. Its published feature set includes product boxes, comparison tables, bestseller lists, and individual product data fields. That combination suits a site whose articles repeatedly need standardized product cards rather than hand-built HTML.
Where AAWP is strongest
- Structured product presentation: Product boxes and tables let you keep layouts consistent across reviews, buying guides, and list posts.
- Bestseller and field displays: These formats are useful when an article needs a ranked list or selected attributes instead of a full custom table.
- Amazon-only focus: The feature set is aimed at Amazon catalog publishing rather than managing unrelated affiliate programs.
Important limitation
AAWP’s API-driven approach makes API eligibility and account configuration central to the buying decision. If you have not qualified for Amazon’s Creators API, confirm the plugin’s current onboarding requirements and fallback behavior before paying for a license. The available comparison evidence does not establish AAWP’s marketplace-localization, click-reporting, or revenue-reporting scope, so treat those items as questions for the vendor rather than assumed features.
Rank #2
AzonPress: the flexible option when API access is uncertain
AzonPress combines Amazon product displays with comparison tables, geotargeting, click tracking, and a feature called Zero API. That mix makes it the most direct alternative to AAWP for a site that wants Amazon-specific layouts but may not yet have API credentials.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →What Zero API changes
Zero API is intended for publishing without a live Amazon API connection. It can lower the technical barrier for a new site, but it does not remove your responsibility to use accurate, permitted Amazon information and properly attributed links. If you later qualify for the API, decide whether switching workflows would improve update automation and data freshness.
Geotargeting and tracking
Geotargeting addresses the problem of sending visitors in different countries to the appropriate Amazon marketplace. Click tracking helps you measure engagement with those links. Neither metric should be confused with Amazon’s final earnings report: clicks show activity, while commissions depend on completed qualifying purchases and the rules of the relevant Associates program.
Pricing shown by the vendor
AzonPress’s pricing page displays a discounted single-site annual rate of $2.60 per month billed annually and a $199 lifetime single-site option. The discount and terms are time-sensitive; verify the checkout total, renewal policy, updates, and support period before ordering.
Lasso: best when Amazon is one network among several
Lasso is designed for multi-network affiliate operations. It manages links across programs, renders displays and tables, monitors broken or out-of-stock links, and reports revenue. That breadth is valuable when one article contains Amazon links alongside links from other merchants or affiliate networks.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Choose Lasso when operations matter more than Amazon specialization
- Use a central link inventory instead of editing every article when a destination URL changes.
- Use health monitoring to find broken or unavailable destinations before readers report them.
- Use revenue reporting to view monetization across programs rather than isolating Amazon clicks.
- Use its display components when you want consistent tables or product callouts across different merchants.
The comparison evidence does not establish Lasso as an Amazon Creators API display specialist, nor does it specify the marketplaces it localizes. Ask whether the exact Amazon data fields and country routing you need are supported before treating it as a replacement for an Amazon-only plugin.
Rank #3
AmaLinks Pro: capable no-API workflow, but verify availability
AmaLinks Pro is described as supporting text links, image links, CTA buttons, showcases, and comparison tables, including a workflow that does not require API access. That range is useful for publishers who want more than a bare text link but cannot yet connect to Amazon’s API.
Why current status matters
A user-generated report claimed a shutdown on December 29, 2025. That report is not an official availability notice, so it should not be treated as proof that the product is discontinued; however, it is a material reason to check the vendor’s site, documentation, license delivery, update history, and support response before installing it on a production site.
If you already use AmaLinks Pro, export or document your links and display settings before making changes. A migration plan is especially important for comparison tables and reusable showcases, which may not transfer cleanly to another plugin.
ThirstyAffiliates: a general link manager, not an Amazon display suite
ThirstyAffiliates is useful for organizing affiliate URLs, applying a consistent linking workflow, and maintaining a central inventory. The comparison grid does not credit it with native Amazon product boxes or comparison tables. Select it when link management is your main problem and you are prepared to build product displays with another method.
For an Amazon-heavy buying guide, that distinction matters. A link manager can improve redirect organization while leaving you responsible for product cards, price presentation, marketplace routing, and any catalog-data updates.

Indicative prices and license trade-offs
AmaWP reported the following entry prices from public pricing pages in August 2026. These are indicative figures, not guaranteed current checkout prices.
Rank #4
| Plugin | Indicative entry price | Evidence and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| AAWP | From €79 per year | Reported by AmaWP from public pricing pages in August 2026 |
| Lasso | From $49 per year | Reported by AmaWP from public pricing pages in August 2026 |
| AmaLinks Pro | From $67 per year | Reported by AmaWP from public pricing pages in August 2026; verify availability first |
| AzonPress | About $31 per year in the same comparison; vendor page shows $2.60 per month billed annually | Prices and discounts are volatile; the vendor also shows a $199 lifetime single-site option |
When comparing licenses, convert the headline figure into the amount charged today, the renewal amount, the number of covered sites, and the period of support and updates. A single-site lifetime license is not equivalent to an agency license, even when the initial price looks attractive.

Amazon Creators API: eligibility and operational rules
Amazon describes the Creators API as a REST-based service that gives publishers, influencers, and affiliate partners programmatic access to catalog data. Its documented operations include SearchItems, GetItems, GetVariations, and GetBrowseNodes.
“The Creators API is a REST-based API that provides programmatic access to Amazon’s product catalog data, enabling publishers, influencers, and affiliate partners to create innovative and engaging shopping experiences for their audiences.”
Eligibility threshold
Amazon Associates Central states that Creators API access requires at least 10 qualifying sales within the past 30 days, and its registration guide says applicants must have referred qualified sales and been accepted into the Associates Program. A new site should therefore plan a publishing workflow that does not depend on API access on day one.
Protect attribution
Amazon warns that changing API-vended links can remove attribution and Associate fees. Keep the partner tag and destination structure intact when a plugin generates or updates links. Amazon also states that API access can be lost when an account has no qualified referring sales for a consecutive 30-day period. This makes link preservation, sales activity, and an exportable link inventory practical selection criteria—not merely technical details.

Step 1: define the publishing workload
- List the display formats your existing articles require: text links, image links, CTA buttons, product boxes, comparison tables, showcases, or bestseller lists.
- Count the Amazon marketplaces you need to serve and record the countries that generate meaningful traffic.
- Record every non-Amazon affiliate network you use. One network points toward an Amazon specialist; several point toward a centralized manager.
- Decide whether click tracking, link-health checks, or revenue reporting is essential. Do not pay for a dashboard you will not use.
Step 2: check API eligibility before installation
- Confirm that your Associates account is accepted and that you meet the 10-qualifying-sales-in-30-days requirement for Creators API access.
- If you do not qualify, choose a documented no-API workflow and understand which product information you must maintain manually.
- Keep a record of the partner tags and marketplaces used by each link.
Step 3: build one representative article
- Create a test page containing one text link, one image or CTA link, and one comparison table if your chosen plugin supports it.
- Check the rendered page on mobile and desktop, including image loading, button destinations, and disclosure placement.
- Test visitors from each target country or use the plugin’s documented preview tools to confirm marketplace routing.
- Verify that links retain the intended attribution and that product information is not presented as permanently current when Amazon may change it.
Step 4: establish maintenance routines
- Review out-of-stock and broken-link alerts on a fixed schedule when your plugin provides them.
- Recheck high-traffic tables after major catalog changes or plugin updates.
- Keep a current export or written inventory of links before switching plugins.
- Review API eligibility and account activity so a 30-day gap in qualified referring sales does not surprise you.
Common failure modes and fixes
The plugin asks for API credentials you do not have
That is an eligibility problem, not necessarily a plugin defect. Use a documented Zero API or no-API workflow, or postpone API-dependent displays until your Associates account qualifies. Do not paste made-up credentials or rely on an unofficial data feed.
Best Value
International visitors land in the wrong store
Check whether your plugin actually supports geotargeting or marketplace localization. If it does not, document the limitation and use a manual, clearly labeled country path rather than claiming universal routing.
Clicks rise but commissions do not
Clicks measure visits to affiliate links, not qualifying purchases. Inspect destination URLs, partner tags, disclosure placement, and the reporting window in Amazon Associates Central. A tracking dashboard cannot correct a broken attribution link.
A product table becomes inaccurate
Catalog details, prices, and availability can change. Prefer an API-driven refresh where you are eligible, or schedule manual reviews for no-API content. Remove claims that imply a price or stock status is permanent.

A plugin appears abandoned
Check the vendor’s latest release, compatibility information, documentation, license delivery, and support response before renewing. The AmaLinks Pro shutdown report illustrates why current status should be verified rather than inferred from an old feature list.
Decision guide
Pick AAWP if
- Amazon is your primary or exclusive network.
- You can use the Creators API and want automated catalog-style displays.
- You need product boxes, bestseller lists, comparison tables, and data fields.
Pick AzonPress if
- You need Amazon-specific displays but may not yet have API access.
- Geotargeting and click tracking are important.
- You want to compare an annual single-site plan with a lifetime single-site option.
Pick Lasso if
- Your content uses several affiliate programs.
- You want one inventory for links, displays, health checks, and revenue reporting.
- Broken or out-of-stock links create a significant operational burden.
Consider AmaLinks Pro only after verification if
- You need text, image, CTA, showcase, and comparison-table formats.
- A no-API workflow is important.
- You have confirmed that licenses, downloads, updates, and support are currently available.
Pick ThirstyAffiliates if
- Your central need is organizing and maintaining affiliate URLs.
- You do not require native Amazon product boxes or comparison tables from the link manager itself.
Bottom line
AAWP is the most natural starting point for an API-eligible, Amazon-only publication that wants structured product displays. AzonPress is the safer first comparison for a newer site because its Zero API workflow, geotargeting, click tracking, and tables cover more situations before API access is available. Lasso earns its place when Amazon is only one of several networks and link maintenance is the larger problem. AmaLinks Pro may suit a no-API display workflow, but verify its current operation before committing. ThirstyAffiliates remains a link-organization tool rather than a full Amazon product-display system.
