The best all-round Bedrock seed in the current 26.x release line is -4995054936707021313, which is reported to generate a large continent with wide biome variety, a village near 136, 120, and a stronghold near -396, 1,316. For a more dramatic opening, use 7226627000711902118 for an icy mountain village, or -8887135362805734363 for two villages around a frozen lake.
These are version-specific recommendations, not permanent guarantees. Bedrock is currently using the year-based 26.x numbering system; the current release line referenced here is 26.34, while 26.35 is Switch-only. Seeds tested on 26.32 or 26.2 should be checked in a fresh vanilla 26.34 world before you commit to a long-term build.

1. Best overall: -4995054936707021313
This is the strongest general-purpose recommendation if you want one world that supports several styles of play. The reported continent offers substantial biome variety, including rare or distinctive areas such as Mushroom Fields and Pale Garden. That gives a survival group room for farms, themed bases, exploration, and multiple settlements without immediately abandoning the starting region.

#1 Best Overall
A Bedrock village is reported near 136, 120, while a stronghold is reported near -396, 1,316. Those figures are normally X and Z coordinates rather than complete X, Y, Z positions. Because the seed was reported for Bedrock 26.2, treat both locations as targets to verify rather than guarantees for 26.34.
2. Best mountain-village challenge: 7226627000711902118
Choose this seed if the terrain itself should define the playthrough. Bedrock listings describe a large icy mountain or ice-spike formation with a village integrated into, or very close to, the opening area. The combination creates an immediate building challenge: paths, terraces, bridges, tunnels, and defenses can all become part of the settlement.
This seed is listed for Bedrock 26.32. Check the village position in 26.34 before planning around a precise screenshot or coordinate set.
3. Best snowy multiplayer start: -8887135362805734363
Two villages around a frozen lake make this a natural choice for cooperative survival. Players can develop separate villages, share the lake as a central transport and farming area, or combine both settlements into one larger snowy town. The surrounding caves and cold terrain also provide a clear progression from early shelter to an organized mountain or lakeside base.
As with the other current recommendations, the villages should be confirmed in the exact Bedrock version you intend to play. The seed is reported for 26.32.
Rank #2
4. Best unusual ocean start: 4209176801731150281
This seed is aimed at players who value a memorable landscape over a guaranteed collection of nearby structures. It is described as a Bedrock water-sinkhole or ocean-focused start, making it a good foundation for a coastal base, underwater project, dockyard, monument hunt, or island survival challenge.
The available listing provides less detailed structure information than the village-focused seeds, so use it as a terrain recommendation rather than a promise of nearby loot. It is listed for Bedrock 26.32.
5. Best cherry-grove village: -4197599622191908127
Seed lists describe a village inside a cherry-grove valley, with additional claims of five blacksmiths and a nearby pillager outpost. The valley setting is especially well suited to a protected village, terraced farms, a ring of cherry trees, or a role-playing town built around the original settlement.

More Bedrock seeds worth checking
58561304246185338: a small forest-and-cherry-grove island with a nearby village. It is listed for both editions, but the version should be rechecked before relying on exact terrain or structure positions.-47863159906893593: a plains village beside a large swamp. Use Bedrock-specific coordinates; Java locations for the same seed are not interchangeable.888882903781400170: a mountain-surrounded starting area, listed for Java and Bedrock in a July 2026 guide.
Older seeds that need extra caution
-562349952852442627 is an older Bedrock 1.20 listing describing a crater lake surrounded by mountains, with a village, pillager outpost, and ocean monument below the lake. -950547527103331411 is another older 1.20 seed, described as a large hollow island with an exposed lush cave.
Rank #3
Both may still produce interesting worlds, but neither should be presented as a current-version guarantee. World generation can change between releases, and a seed tested on 1.20, 1.21, or 26.2 is not automatically validated for 26.34.
How to enter a seed in Bedrock
- Open Minecraft and select Play.
- Select Create New, then Create New World.
- Open the Game tab.
- Find the field labeled Seed.
- Enter the complete number, including the minus sign for negative seeds.
- Select Create.
The exact layout can vary slightly by platform and UI version. Mojang’s Seed Picker FAQ documents the same general path.
Using the Seed Picker
Bedrock’s Seed Picker offers preset entries intended to place players near named biomes or features. It is convenient for beginners, but its entries are not permanent guarantees: Mojang has changed the selection when world generation changed, including during Caves & Cliffs Part II. For a specific seed, enter the number manually and record the Bedrock version used.
How to verify a seed before starting a serious world
- Create a fresh, vanilla Bedrock world with the target seed.
- Disable add-ons, behavior packs, and experimental features unless the seed was specifically tested with them.
- Use a seed map configured for Bedrock, the correct version, and the correct dimension.
- Enter the seed exactly, including its minus sign.
- Confirm the headline feature in-game before beginning a large project.
Chunk Base’s Seed Map is useful for checking biomes and structures, but its own limitations matter. World spawn, villages, igloos, desert and jungle temples, amethyst geodes, End Cities and ships, Nether fossils, Dried Ghasts, and some underground structures can be inaccurate. Some markers show the center of a generating chunk rather than the visible entrance, and X/Z coordinates may not provide a useful Y level for underground structures.
Coastlines may also look different because a map can display biome boundaries rather than the exact terrain edge. Treat a map as a planning aid, not proof that a structure exists precisely at the marker.

Teleporting to a listed coordinate
Bedrock coordinates in seed guides are often written as X, Z. Teleport commands require a complete X, Y, Z position:
/teleport <x> <y> <z>
For example:
/teleport 136 120 0
To teleport another player:
/teleport <player> <x> <y> <z>
These commands require cheats or the appropriate permission. Bedrock also accepts /tp as an alias for /teleport. If you only have X and Z, travel to the area or use a safe surface Y value rather than assuming the second number is Y. See Microsoft’s Bedrock teleport documentation.
Finding features without trusting coordinates
With cheats enabled, Bedrock’s locate commands can help confirm the nearest feature in the current dimension:
/locate structure <structure>
/locate biome <biome>
The documented structure syntax also supports the optional new-chunks-only argument:
/locate structure <structure: StructureFeature> [useNewChunksOnly: Boolean]
The command reports an error when the requested feature does not exist in that dimension. Consult Microsoft’s Bedrock locate documentation for accepted feature names.

Why a seed may not match a guide
Java and Bedrock are not interchangeable
Using the same number in Java and Bedrock does not guarantee identical structure locations, decorations, caves, or other generated details. Terrain and biome parity can make worlds look similar, but always select Bedrock in a seed map and use Bedrock coordinates.
Version changes matter
Minecraft changed its Bedrock version numbering in 2026 to year-based releases such as 26.0, 26.1, and 26.2. That does not make older seed numbers useless, but it does make labels such as “current 1.21 seed” incomplete. The 26.0 changelog explains the numbering change. The later 26.30 update documents creator-facing biome surface-builder changes rather than a general vanilla seed-generation overhaul, but exact structures should still be checked in the release you play.
Existing worlds can contain multiple generations
When an older world is updated, already generated chunks retain their original terrain while newly explored chunks use the newer version. This means a seed map may need to be checked against the older version for existing areas and the newer version for unexplored regions.
Spawn is not always exactly 0, 0
“At spawn” normally means near the player’s initial spawn area, not precisely at X 0, Z 0. Seed-map spawn positions can also be inaccurate.

Add-ons, behavior packs, and experimental features may change world generation or the available feature set. For a clean comparison, use a new vanilla world with the same Bedrock version and seed.
Current-version context
Bedrock’s 26.34/35 hotfix notes identify 26.34 as the general current release line referenced here and 26.35 as Switch-only. The July 28, 2026 hotfix listed a graphical fix, so seed tests published for 26.32 remain useful reference points, but they are not a substitute for checking the world in-game. See the official 26.34/35 hotfix changelog.
