Bigscreen says attention around Valve’s Steam Frame launch drove increased demand for its Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e headsets, while its October 9, 2026 production update pushed the largest Halo Mount shipment estimate back by one to two weeks. The company reported selling more units per day than during the 2025 holiday season, but disclosed no sales totals; its explanation of the sales rise is a company account, not independently verified buyer data.
What Bigscreen reported about Steam Frame attention and sales
In its October 9, 2026 production update, Bigscreen wrote: “The launch of the Steam Frame has brought massive demand for the Bigscreen Beyond 2 and 2e. We’ve been selling more units per day than we did during the 2025 holiday season!” The post gives no unit totals, so the comparison describes the company’s reported daily sales pace rather than a disclosed number of headsets.

Bigscreen had outlined its interpretation of the increase in a September 25 post, “Beyond 2 is selling FAST… Why?”. It said it believed some people researching Steam Frame were considering an upgrade from a Valve Index or another SteamVR headset, while others chose Beyond 2 for long VRChat or sim-racing sessions. Bigscreen also pointed to the headset’s lack of a battery as a reason it can be used for extended sessions. These are the manufacturer’s proposed explanations, not results from disclosed buyer research.
In its April 16 update, Bigscreen said Beyond SteamVR usage had grown 12X between early 2024 and early 2026, using SteamVR Hardware Survey usage figures. That is the company’s comparison of headset usage, not a sales-growth figure. Separately, Bigscreen said in July that it had shipped more than 50,000 orders since it began shipping in 2023; that milestone covers orders broadly and is not a Beyond 2 unit count.

When the Halo Mount is expected to ship
The October 9 update says the previous estimate for the largest October Halo Mount shipments moved back by one to two weeks. Bigscreen still expected to catch up on the preorder backlog in November, while new orders placed at the time of the post were estimated to ship in December. These are forecasts, not guaranteed delivery dates; Bigscreen directs customers to its store page for the latest shipping information.
The October post describes a schedule change, not a newly disclosed design defect. In its July 17 production update, Bigscreen said the plastic sledge link could break, particularly if used accidentally in a way it was not designed for. The company estimated that the issue could affect 2–5% of customers and said it was changing the part from injection-molded plastic to injection-molded metal, which required additional manufacturing time. The July schedule has since been superseded by the October estimate.

What was known about headset prices and availability
Bigscreen’s September post listed the Beyond 2 from $959 with the Universal-Fit Cushion and the Beyond 2e from $1,159. At that time, it said both were in stock and shipping in 1–7 business days. Those dated prices and shipping estimates should not be treated as current offers.
In the October 9 update, Bigscreen said the Universal-Fit Cushion was sold out, with a restock expected in about six weeks. It said the Universal-Fit Light Seal was in stock and that configured headsets using either the Light Seal or Custom-Fit Cushion would ship in 2–3 business days. Those were the company’s estimates at the time of the post; check Bigscreen’s store for current pricing, stock and delivery information.
