Steam says these specifications were tested with DLSS, FSR, or XeSS enabled. The listing does not state a target resolution, graphics preset, frame rate, or benchmark pass threshold. Steam’s Benchmark Tool listing is the source for the tool requirements.
How to check whether your PC meets the minimum
- Check Windows: the listed operating system is Windows 10 64-bit. The captured requirements do not separately specify Windows 11.
- Compare the exact processor model: the minimum names the Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600.
- Check the graphics card and its memory variant: the minimum is a GTX 1060 with 6GB or an RX 580 with 8GB. A different memory variant is not the one named in the listing.
- Confirm 16 GB of RAM and DirectX 11 support for the minimum tier.
- Make at least 9 GB available and note the storage guidance: SSD is recommended for minimum and required for recommended.
Meeting each minimum item means the PC matches the listed baseline; it does not establish how smoothly the tool will run on that machine. If a component is below the named baseline, the listing does not say how the benchmark will behave.

What the Benchmark Tool does—and what it cannot tell you
Steam describes the free utility as a PC benchmark application for Black Myth: Wukong. It renders an in-game sequence in real time to evaluate hardware performance and system compatibility. Running it can give you a practical check on your own setup, but its result should not be treated as a promise about every area, scene, resolution, or setting in the full game.
The utility is separate from the full game. It was released on August 12, 2024, and Steam identifies Game Science as its developer and publisher. Steam’s Benchmark Tool page describes its purpose.

Benchmark Tool and full-game storage requirements differ
Do not carry the tool’s storage note over to the full game. The benchmark listing specifies 9 GB of available space, recommends an SSD at minimum, and requires one at the recommended tier. Steam’s separate Black Myth: Wukong full-game listing says HDD is supported and SSD is recommended. The CPU, memory, and named minimum GPU tier shown for the game are consistent with the benchmark listing, but the storage guidance is different.
