Where is the secret area in Chapter 2?
The secret area is the Kingdom of Sahali. It is unlocked through the Drunk Boar sidequest and a later encounter with the Yellow-Robed Squire, rather than by finding an entrance on the main path. The chapter guide listing this requirement is a secondary walkthrough, so treat the quest chain as a route to verify against the characters and prompts you encounter in-game.
How do I get to the Kingdom of Sahali?
- Find and speak with the Drunk Boar. Follow his sidequest rather than leaving the interaction as an incidental conversation; completing this quest is part of the reported unlock condition.
- Advance the quest until the Yellow-Robed Squire encounter. The sidequest and this encounter are both identified as prerequisites for the secret area.
- Defeat the Yellow-Robed Squire. Once the chain is complete, the guide says you can teleport to the Kingdom of Sahali.
- Check your available travel destinations. If Sahali is not available, revisit the boar and any unfinished quest interactions before assuming the route is permanently closed.

What can I miss in Yellow Sand, Desolate Dusk?
Many of the chapter’s optional checks are easy to pass while following the main route. A PS5 missable guide, version 1.01 and updated September 30, 2024, flags an optional chance to obtain Goat Skull while harvesting Licorice. It also tracks Xu Dog, side characters, boss rewards, and other item checks.
